HP ProBook Installer 6.1: 4x30s and 4x40s support

Actually, after downgrading my 4440s BIOS to F40, I re-checked HWMonitor issue I was having earlier and it is some what different. It works fine after boot, but if you quit/launch it a few times - it may manifest the original issue at some point. So it seems it is a little better now.

If you want to build from my repo, now is not a bad time (it was a bit broken on the ProBook for a while...). I'll probably do a build if the churn has slowed on kozlek's repo.

There's some new sensors in there too (CPU Power Usage).

I've just built it, works pretty well. Maybe it's time for a new build, because the HWMonitor app from the Installer is kind of broken, it causes graphical glitches on my current install, not only in the app, but in the whole OS interface too. I build a recent version from your repository two days ago and I have no more glitches since then.

OK. Let's try it. Uploaded fresh build just now: https://code.google.com/p/os-x-fake-smc-kozlek/downloads/list

+1 for the graphical glitches.
I will try the new build too.

P.S. Is possible to update the probook installer to include this new fake smc version and maybe other updated stuff too?

Thanks guys!

I have a better idea: maybe it's time to start the public tests of the new "slim" Installer, what do you think about it, guys?

Sure, why not?

Something to keep us busy in between OS X releases...

Ok, we have some updates, but what about your MaciASL branch? There are some changes from yesterday.

Yeah, SJ fixed some bugs and I had to implement some more parts of NSRegularExpression for compatibility with SL...

So... recent updates are:

IOath3kfrmwr.kext (device-id 0b05-179c added courtesy, github user mrbirdman)
FakeSMC.kext
MaciASL/patchmatic
RealtekRTL8111.kext

"slim" installer?
Can you be more specific, please?

Thanks!

An installer with only support for 10.6.8, 10.7.5, and 10.8.4. That is... only the latest major OS X builds.
