This patch is for a 6870 - I'm editing the ATI 6xxx series kext
I use a powercolor 6870 and it's why I patch.
Seems to work on 6xxx series cards for some people and not for others.
YMMV

thanks fishcow! unfortunately, it didn't work for me. the last patched kext i used was on 10.8.2 from bruno21 and i was able to use duckweed with 3 monitors. i had to revert back to kudzu to get my 3 monitors going again but my card reads 6xxx.

Just installed FishCow's-10.8.4-kext with kextbeast, added AtiConfig and AtiPorts infos to boot.plist and all 3 displays are running perfectly on Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 with 10.8.4

display 1 -> DVI
display 2 -> VGA-DVI adapter
display 3 -> VGA-DP adapter

I've yet to update my hack.
Should work though.

When you make these edits are you just editing the "Info.plist" found inside the Ktext?
