Article: Native Support for NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti and GTX 660 Graphics Cards in 10.8.3

Just changed from a GT640 to a EVGA brand GTX 650 Ti Boost. Booted fine. Had to rearrange my 3 displays. No problem. Only issue is that the display data says NVidia 106; but not the exact card name ?

Why I don't know; the 640 showed correctly. Any ideas?

Maybe the card is too new for proper descriptor in 10.8.3????????

I can definitely confirm that the GTX 660 works flawlessly in 10.8.3. Got it all set up this weekend and had no issues, other than setting GraphicsEnabler=No.

dunno if i'm gonna give you a good news, but i work with an original powermac at the office and often i have monitor problems on wake and sometimes on startup, too.

Try with two different viewsonic monitors but nothing really changed.
Anyway those problems affects the windows pcs, too... so maybe could be a monitor problem.

Eventhough if the computer is asleep for a few hours it won't wake up again. The PC wakes up, but the monitor doesn't.

Just bought a GTX 650TI and it works perfectly on 10.8.3 (Sleep, DVD, Flash player, A Few games, etc.....)
(EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti SSC 1GB 01G-P4-3652-KR)

- HP a6554f (Socket 775 w/ PCI-E x16 v1.1 slot)
- I did have to create a new DSDT for my motherboard (PCI configuration hang up)
- I have only one monitor - DVI
- Snow Leopard still works too, although no GPU acceleration (Appleworks Lives On)

One thing though, since i've installed the GTX660 some sleep problems are back... or i should say, wake after sleep problems.
If i put the computer to sleep it wakes up just fine if i do that just a minute after i put it to sleep.

GraphicsEnabler=No

Do you have a second monitor plugged in? If I have my HDTV plugged in to the display port (to HDMI) and I sleep the System, upon wake I get the exact same problem regardless if the Display Port is active or not (as in TV on or off).

My MSI gt650i (power edition) is working great and very silent.
Worked OOB with GraphicsEnabler = No

//edit
I was a bit too quick there, i am having some trouble with random blue screens.
Every few minutes the screen goes blue for a few seconds.
Its like plugging in another monitor.
The console shows that osx indeed thinks the received display (?) changes.

Do you recommend still installing the CUDA driver or can that be omitted now?

I had to install the CUDA driver for it to work

EVGA 660 superclocked

then again, I still have to boot into safemode for it to turn on :(

Omg finally its out i just installed it working perfectly fine without any additional drivers. Bow im playing grid with ultra setting 1920x1080 no lagging at all thank you guys for the info i have looked avery forum that were talking about 660 problem

After I updated to 10.8.3 with my GTX 650 Ti my FPS in some Games are better... I think 10-20 fps :)

But now my Graphics Card is named as D14P2...
I don't have any patches installed. If I install the NVIDIA Update the OS won't boot up :( The Update isn't compatible...

Does anybody know a solution for the issue ?

Thanks Marco
