Now edited.
There is no display connected to the HD4000. If you want tHD4000 HDMI audio, edit dsdt/HDEF/layout-id to 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00.
Regarding the GTX 570, the display connected is not HDMI. HDMI only appears when HDMI devices are connected.

I now connected my display though hdmi but dvi is also connected cause i would get no signal on my monitor.Regarding the HD4000 hdmi audio,i dont think my mobo has a built in hdmi port so the only way to connect my display to hdmi is through my graphics card which is the geforce gtx 570.View attachment DSDT.aml.zipView attachment IOREGherbie12.zip

Audio does work with Windows. I'll continue to play with it and see what I can do. Thanks for your time and help!

Toleda, I've been playing with this issue of my computer freaking out whenever Applehda.kext is installed. I think I might have come across my issue. I got into BIOS and was looking over some settings and saw that an Azalia Codec was set to "Auto" playing around with stuff I decided to set it to "disabled" and see what would happen. It turns out that with it set to disabled the Applehda.kext doesn't cause any problems when I install it! But I still can't get the audio to work.

So my question is what is the Azalia Codec and should it be set to "Auto" or "Disabled"? Hopefully this will be the solution.

Azalia is the onboard audio on the motherboard - Analog & Digital (Optical/Coax)

Hi Toleda,

everything was plugged in and turned on when i did the whole procedure and multiple reboot.

Im still trying to get tis to work.
I have found a kext and dsdt edit the says it will make the onboard vt2021 work with apple HDA.
http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=3041&page=2

When replace the Device (HDEF) section with the one on the site and I get compile errors.
The _HID suffix must be all Hex exist (which I patch and goes away)
The DTGP error which I patch and goes away, I'm left with: object does not exist \_SB.PCI0.HDEF.DCKS and object does not exist \_SB.PCI0.HDEF.DCKA.
Ive googled it and there seem to be a few people with this error, but I couldn't find any solutions I understood.
Ive yet to apply the HDMI audio for my gt640 patch.
Ive been at it for quite a few hours and Im no closer to getting sound out of my TV which is one of the primary uses for this machine.
Attached are IOReg' and DSL. View attachment dsl_IOReg.zip

I'd be super grateful if someone could help me get this working!

No change. Only the DVI display is connected. A DVI2HDMI adapter works.
