got this laptop this week & i think i have nearly everything working:
normal installation with unibeast
SMBios: MacBookAir 5,1

What works:
- Audio: 00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation Panther Point High Definition Audio Controller [8086:1e20] (rev 04) --> VoodooHDA 2.7.4
- WLAN: 03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) [168c:002b] (rev 01) --> http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2628
- Bluetooth: Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0cf3:3002 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR3011 Bluetooth --> http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2628 (strange error spamming @ boot, have to look into that, but i works) booting up takes really long because of this
- Touchpad: working (but glitchy) with AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext & ApplePS2Controller.kext from multibeast
- Keyboard: working (but Bluetooth Keyboard Setup starts on every boot (can be disabled)) --> kexts above
- Battery: working --> http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=3169

Not Working:
- LAN: 02:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller [10ec:8136] (rev 05)
- Webcam: 5986:0295

partitially working:
- HD4000: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Ivy Bridge Graphics Controller [8086:0166] (rev 09) --> black screen with latest chimera, no QE/CI with latest Chameleon, maybe DSDT or EFI string, working on it


i think a few kexts can be left out with DSDT editing, but i have no idea how this works, will be working on this, after i get QE/CI

What with the wireless kext for Lenovo u310??

Did you find a solution to your problem? Also, is the only way to enable a Dual Boot is to use the USB option?

just install chimera using multibeast and use macman's method to fix boot0:error ;)
 
remove chimera and install chameleon, it should be detected as 1.7 ghz
 
i have everyting working now :D

with just one small issue:
after booting my internal screen turns black, until i plugin an external monitor
then the image appears on both
if i unplug the hdmi cable, the internal screen goes black again

any ideas?

EDIT: ive tried chimera, chameleon, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, with EFI-String injection and without...
nothing seems to get the internal monitor working with QE/CI

question for all of you. I just got my u310. are you installing ML on the SSD or on the HDD?
Has anyone tried removing intel rapid start and raid so that you have two drives and install ML on the SSD. Booting with SSD as that will be my primary OS?
 
hey bunghole did you get the screen issue fixed? I just got a u310 and i would love to put 10.8.2 on it. I am super noob when it comes to installing osx on a windows pc. i have read all your posts, and you seem to have made great progress, and essentially i would like to try to duplicate what you did. i really appreciate any help, i know how much work this must of taken. thank you.
 
I just picked up a U310 and wanted to post my installation.

my U310 is the i5-3317

After I received the laptop, I wanted to preserve the windows partition on the HDD.
Given that it came with an intel wlan card, and I have a spare generic ar5b195, I needed to find a way to install the card and removing the whitelist. There is a whitelist removed bios of the latest version. Google will find it for you. After removing the whitelist, I replaced the card. Since this was setup on RAID0 with the SSD, I had to break RAID and the Intel Rapid Start and Rapid Storage that's on it.
I downloaded from the intel website some program to enable/disable intel rapid storage acceleration. Disabled it. Then went into bios disabled it there too and changed RAID to AHCI. To my surprise, I was still able to boot windows7 from the HDD. so I partitioned the SSD and followed the unibeast installation method. Using the kexts from this thread, I was able to get it up and running in no time.
Note: if you are having problems with blank/black screen during boot, use usb to boot into safe mode and put in efi injection into your boot list.

also for those plagued with the wifi issues that plague the u310/u410 you can do this mod message #616

mostly everything is working.
bluetooth is a little weird. the turning on/off switch is greyed out.


question from me is .... I want to make a backup/clone of my install. I can place the it on an mbr partition with carbon clone copy?
