Hi All,

I bought my Shuttle XH61 last year and ran on Windows but decided to take the plunge and install OSX.
I completed installation using Unibeast, Post installation with Multibeast but couldn't get my Audio Drivers up no matter what kexts i added or removed. Now i have been learning and doing at the same time which might not be such a good idea as i have removed kexts to facilitate a boot without safe mode. Anyway i have searched Google high and low for someone with my hardware/Software setup and a working Audio Solution but the nearest i have came to is cinlortech's setup but he has since moved onto another hardware set up.

I have now re-installed Mac osx mountain lion 10.8 and have only booted in Safe Mode. I won't go any further for the time being just in case some kind soul might shed some light for me on the correct driver or configuration in Multibeast.

So here go's,

Hardware Unit = Shuttle XH61
MotherBoard = Intel H61 socket 1155
Ram = 2 x 4GB sticks DDR3 (GSKILL)
HDD = Seagate 320GB
CPU = INTEL i3 Sandybridge 2120
OSX = Mountain Lion downloaded from Mac App Store

Any advice around the Audio Video Configuration would be much appreciated.

Your biggest problem is video; the i3-2120/HD2000 Graphics is not supported. You may get the resolution you want but no acceleration. HDMI audio is not supported though 887 on board is.

The i3-2105 or i3-2125 are supported in OS X with HD3000 Graphics.

Thanks for your reply,

I guess this is not the ideal setup for macosx86 as it wasn't originally purchased with this in mind.

If i could get audio out of it i would be quite happy though.

Any ideas what to do post install to achieve this?

MultiBeast 5.2.1 or newer - Select/Drivers & Bootloaders/Drivers/Audio/Realtek ALC8xx/Without DSDT/ALC887 Current. Recognize, only the green port is an output.

Thanks Todedo i'll give it a go
