Asus 1155 Patched BIOS Repository

I must have tried it four times during the day today with different sticks, all other usb connected/disconnected etc etc, but it wont even flash a previous non modes bios from asus using the correct filename. Yet using EZflash in the same usb stick in the same slot with the same filename Z77ST.CAP slot it works fine although not with the modded bios. I was having a look at The Kings flashrom but that seems mega complicated.

I hope its not an RMA job as the worrying factor is I cannot flash any BIOS using the USB option, but it would be difficult to tell Asus here I want to load a modded BIOS, when the other options work fine.

Not the end of the world as Clover is working fine but of course Chameleon will not work with the unmodded BIOS, and its nice to have that "just in case".
Wonder if 1616 hosed the FlashBack function... Can you rollback to the previous stock bios using using the bios utility?

Dear Samisnake

I am in the process of installing ML on my computer. MiniITX asked me patch my BIOS. I used the one that is offered in http://biosrepo.wordpress.com/asus/z77/ but I receive "security verification failed". Would you please patch the attached bios for me (attached)? It is the latest version 1616.

I so much appreciate your kind help.

Greetings,

javadi - You need to use the Asus FlashBack feature to flash the modded bios. Review your MB manual.

@javadi

the bios from samisnake is ok. But you have to use the flashback feature like kduvernay mentioned to update it. This bios is running perfect.

Thanks for your reply. I copied the file on a USB stick and used the ASUS EZ Flash 2 Utility to load it. I didn't try the hardware switch on the motherboard, but I guess it won't work when the BIOS EZ Flash doesn't work. Am I missing something?

Dear Samisnake

Yes yes,,, sorry I didn't notice that. I've just did it through the hardware. It had some blinking and then the light turned off. I guess it has been done correctly. How can I ensure that it is done fully? The version and date of my current BIOS is 1616 and 10-05-2012 as shown in the BIOS. Thanks again for your help.

there isnt a visual way of telling.
the way youll know is if you can boot off the hdd without nullcpu/patched aicpupm, and it doesnt kp on appleintelcpupowermanagement.
