Article: New Nvidia drivers fix glitchy Fermi cards in Mountain Lion

As been stated, many, many times before:

CineBench is old and does NOT support NVIDIA 4xx / 5xx / 6xx cards.

The performance numbers you are getting are for your CPU and NOT your video card.

Maybe i get it wrong, but in Cinebench there you have two options to run the test. CPU and OpenGL, and OpenGL is the Graphic Card. or i am wrong?

thanks

I got the same issues back after updating to 10.8.2, i am using the MSI GT 430 1GB.
At 10.8.1 everything was working.
I tried reinstalling Cuda Drivers but didn't fix it.
When i try to reinstall the Nvidia drivers 304 it says it already has the drivers.

Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Update breaks again the nVidia Drivers! This will give you again, Glitches, White Screen and all other known issues you had before.

Thankfully, a user called "vczilla" does a better job then Apple & nVidia together, and he found a workaround to fix this again. So, feel free to try the fix, till nVidia comes up again with new Drivers after reading our posts.

If Cinebench doesn't directly support the GPU you are using it uses the CPU to render the images instead of the GPU.

This has been proven by using a low end and high end unsupported NVIDIA card and getting basically the same frame rates with either card. Or take an unsupported card and over clock the CPU and see the frame rates jump over the standard card. Then do the same thing on a supported card and basically no change in frame rates.

its work on GeForce 9500 GT

This doesn't work on the nvidia geforce gt 430!! :( some ideas?

New nVidia's drivers do not work for me, I can get to the home screen but when I type the password I can not reach the desktop back to the Home screen. I am using a GT430 running on ML 10.8.2

My trouble is awakening the hackintosh, the screen is frozen, but I can move the mouse ... the unique way of escape of the situation is restarting the hackintosh ... ideas?
