OS X 10.8.2 Update

Guys, i have an x58a-ud3r rev 2.0. Reporting success by replacing AppleHDA and AppleACPIPlatform before boot.

Really weird spotlight issues though... I think i am having the same problem as referenced in this post... Spotlight won't find applications and re-indexes all the time.

i tried repairing disk permissions, but haven't tried rebuilding the spotlight index yet. Anyone experiencing this? It happened just after 10.8.2 update.

My config: z77-ds3h, i7 3770, xfx 6870.
I did use combo update. After update couldnt boot in. Got vt-d error. Then disabled vt-d option from bios. can boot after that. Lost audio only. After update, re-run multibeast with only sound option.
Everything seems Ok. No KP.

Updated fine from 10.8.2 (12C53)

Installed Update (combo) rebooted with -f -x to avoid FakeSMC.kext/Contents/Plugins/OemSMBIOS.kext Panic

Used KextBeast to replace:

AppleACAPIPlatform.kext (to prevent OEMSMBios Panic and still be able to use smbios.plist to set your system info/serial)
AudioHDA.kext (http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/67763-ml-optimized-realtek-applehda-preview-alpha.html)

Re-enabled TRIM support for non Apple SSD's in IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext

Make backup:

sudo cp /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage.original

Enable TRIM:

sudo perl -pi -e 's|(\x52\x6F\x74\x61\x74\x69\x6F\x6E\x61\x6C\x00{1,20})[^\x00]{9}(\x00{1,20}\x4D)|$1\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00$2|sg' /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage

I have attached the above mentioned AppleACAPIPlatform.kext that allows smbios.plist to work without OEMSMBios Panic.

Installed 10.8.2 Combo Update with no error. Everything is working fine. Network, sound(VoodooHDA) and graphics.I have noticed one strange thing about FakeSMC.kext. /System/Library/Extensions/FakeSMC.kext/Contents/PlugIns/.......i don't have PlugIns folder inside of the Contents folder. All I have is Info.plist, MacOS folder and Resources Folder. I wish I know why.
The only problem that I have is...I can't Sign in to AppStore. I keep getting the error :"An unknown error has occurred."
Anyone else have AppStore Sign In problem??

no new problems on my HP Pavilion Elite M9040n, same wake from sleep problems as before due to incomplete dsdt, otherwise smooth update by appstore - on the Samsung series 7 slate, also updated through ethernet/app store, had to delete the FakeSMC plugin like many, still very dim brightness [lightens to about 40% when it sleeps then awakens but still unusable at this brightness]

How do you KNOW you need to do that? I got the white screen spinning as well on my HP Probook, but I started up and chose the option to ignore system cache and it works fine with that...

Good for you then but I am curious how do you KNOW that will resolve my issue and how do you KNOW what is my system requirment ?
FYI, I not stuck with same error as you had assuming you are referring to that post.
