Multibeast: "The installation failed."

Installation failed here too with Multibeast 5.0.1

Not sure what to do next. My audio doesn't work!

The first command executed without any problem, then the second one outputed the following error.

Any idea how to fix this problem with FakeSMC ?

The problem is not with FakeSMC. The problem is with the FakeSMC plugins. Look at the first word in each of those lines. Delete those kexts from /S/L/E and then the command won't fail and the Multibeast installation will proceed.

I have the same error. The issue is that most of these kexts are not in my /S/L/E folder.

IT87x.kext
F718x.kext

Any idea on what to do in this case?

In older versions of FakeSMC.kext, they are INSIDE the kext bundle.

Right click on FakeSMC.kext and select "Show Package Contents". Open the Contents folder. Then look inside the Plugins folder or the Resources folder (I forget which of those right this minute).

To be honest the old version of multibeast worked a lot better. I at least ended up with a bootable machine. With the 5.x my machine won't boot.

Removing SuperIOFamily.kext did the job, I'm able to execute Multibeast 5.0.1 without error now. Not sure if I should replace this kext by something else though.

I'm also experiencing the installation failure with MB 5.0.2 when try to upgrade the FakeSMC include the plugins.

When I try to rebuild cache in Terminal, there's bunch of error log on screen:

Edit: Tried with legacy FakeSMC.kext from Lion doesn't seem to do any good
