LP156WF1 (TL) (B1)

question about the LCD part numbers, I have this part #LP156WF1 (TL) (B1)

what are the (TL) (B1) stands for after the part number???

Thanks...

My agenda for this week is to get the USB 3.0 replacement motherboard ordered for my 4430s (646325-001) and see if it supports anything over 1366x768. I'd love to get the details of the 4330s and 4430s ironed out soon so people know what they can and can't do with the hardware that's available.

Has anyone found a video showing how to remove the keyboard cover, or whatever I need to remove to replace the video cable, if I need to upgrade the cable in my 4530?
my youtube-fu is weak.

Check HERE
You have to remove , battery, back cover, optical drive, keyboard and top cover.

So can the 4730s (LJ525UT#ABA) use a full HD (1920 x 1080) sceen? If so do we use the same 646274-001 cable? I though I read it already has the HD+ cable. Am I reading lies?

What about a DSDT patch? Will that be needed too because it is over 1600 x 900?

Great thread. The screen on my 13" ProBook 5330 is truly awful and I've been planning to upgrade. The trouble is, there are thousands of options out there and I don't want to buy a replacement that's just as bad as the existing screen. Can anyone help???

The HP screen has milky blacks, washed-out colours and virtually no viewing angle apart from head-on (the screen lightens or darkens with the slightest movement).

I'm after a matte screen which works just like my large IPS monitor - wide viewing angle, good blacks and rich colours. Like the ones on MacBooks.

Any advice on what to look for would be greatly appreciated. :)

I'm sure either of these would be a great improvement.

Just make sure the size etc matches.

Thanks Lipo. The potential problem with that screen is that I could be sent exactly the same model as my 5330 already has... the laptopscreen.com webpage says: "The quality of these screens is exceptional because they are the same as the ones that laptop manufacturers use in their current laptop models."

I've just asked a reputable UK screen company about a quality replacement for the 5330 and got the reply: "Your laptop only takes low spec panels, sorry. All the models for your machine are blown together in China for 10 dollars a piece."

I find this very difficult to believe (the quality replacement options, NOT the ten dollar cheapo screen I have), especially after the successes on this thread... but it places me back at square one.

You should send a PM to LSB2011, and ask him your questions about the replacements as he works for Laptopscreen.com. I've purchased 4 screens from that place now, and everyone has looked WORLDS better than the stock HP screen. However YMMV.

Hi. I just purchased another 4530s, but I also purchased the 1080p LG screen everyone recommends. The solution of this thread said I need a dual link patch. Where can I find this? Is it in one of the installers? Also I am assuming the screen has to be replaced after Lion is installed, correct? Otherwise I can't see what I'm doing...
