Fenvi T919 and Broadcom wifi back in Sonoma with OCLP

For my WiFi BCM94360CS2 WiFi card Amfipass.kext and -amfipassbeta slows down the transfer from 200Mb/s to 60 Mb/s (download) . When I set amfi=0x80 all is ok about or more 200 Mb/s....

@Amylowellow
I think you don't get advantage of running OCLP on Ventura apart from seeing the app windows. There is no patch to be applied and booting the EFI build by OCLP (instead of hte real OpenCore) can make your system un-bootable or give any kind of problems.

yeah. actually I ran it just for fun under Ventura and says no patch to apply. :)

I ran OCLP after installing Sonoma and used OpenCore Configurator to modify config.plist, and there are things to watch-out for:
  • I got kernel KP with com.apple.iokit.IOSkywalkFamily if the Block Strategy is "Disable". Had to change it to "Exclude"
  • When adding the 3 new kexts to enable, it asks you where your kexts are ("Browse") but the entries might not be in the correct order after the add. Make sure to rearrange the order to IOSkywalk.kext, IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext and AirPortBrcmNIC.kext as indicated in post #1
All seems to be OK after that. WiFi works, AirDrop works. :)

Just upgraded to Sonoma. Made changes to config file as per Post #1 and applied OCLP patch. Wi-Fi is now working on the system.
And you used OCLP 0.6.9 or 1.0.0?

I don't think it matters at this stage whether it was 0.6.9 (Nightly Build) or v 1.0.0 as the two are now merged into the new released.

In applying the patch one must remember to use this (as indicated) for Hacks as oppose to the other choice which is for real Macs.

If you were using 0.6.9 (Nightly Build), you'll be prompt to update to v1.0.0 which is how the OCLP App is now going forward until further development or updates. Screenshot 2023-10-03 at 05.33.34.png

Did someone else have a similar experience with degraded WIFI throughput when amfipass.kext is applied ?
This could be a potential "no go" to upgrade to Sonoma...

@miliuco

I have a question. Post #1 states that we need 3 kexts: IOSkywalk.kext, IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext (and its plugin AirPortBrcmNIC.kext).

However, as per OC-Little-Translated's article, it says we need 5 kexts: IOSkywalk.kext, IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext, and AirPortBrcmNIC.kext (and its plugin IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext), AirportBrcmFixup.kext (and its plugin AirPortBrcmNIC_Injector.kext).

Do we or do we not need the AirportBrcmFixup.kext (and its plugin AirPortBrcmNIC_Injector.kext) @miliuco?

I have experienced no degraded WiFi throughput when running speedtest.net tests

And you are using the amfipass kext, not the amfi boot arg ?
