MSI PRO Z690 A DDR4 + i7-12700K + AMD RX 580

Man this thing isn't giving. I am going to do a fresh OC9.0 EFI tomorrow and see what happens. Maybe there are some new quirks that will help.

@Raredisarray any luck? Did you turn off TPM? Disabled Thunderbolt?
Yeah I did try those settings. I ended up buying an Asus TUF z690 Gaming D4 open-box from Micro Center, and it worked like a charm. I feel bad for leaving the MSI board fam, but I did try a lot of things. It just wouldn’t boot up. That board did me well for the last 8 months :clap: … Thank you for all the help and suggestions.

Nice! Hang onto the MSI though. I hope to experiment with this pretty soon.

Houston, we have a problem...
Hello guys, could somebody help me?
On my mobo PCH temperature is 65-70C, and to 75C under heavy load.
All other temperature values (CPU, GPU, M.2, SSD) are normal.
Please answer: what is your PCH temperature?
TNX

75c under heavy load? Sounds pretty normal to me mate, even under windows - what were you expecting to see?
I prefer the number under 50c ;)
If 65-75c isn't overheat - I'm too lazy I'll urgently do nothing!

I have been using my build on a daily basis and updating OC and macOS Ventura to the latest release version, on this mobo for months (sleep was broken all the while) - I finally made a discovery which works to resolve the sleep and wake up issue.

in OC config.plist:
ResizeAppleGpuBars: 0 (Booter Quirks)
ResizeGpuBars: -1 (UEFI Quirks)

Enable Resizable BAR in mobo BIOS.

It wakes normally but wifi seem to be wonky.. still testing it out.

It's probably a graphical thing but the latest BIOS that works for me is 7D25v11. I get all white screen with boxes outlined on all newer versions. Let me know if anyone has similar issues.

No issues with last BIOS 7D25v1B. Maybe at your BIOS some settings are set by default, i guess.
I wrote the checklist for BIOS update for my mobo:
Settings -> Advanced -> PCIe Settings -> Above 4G memory to Enabled;
Max TOLUD to Disabled;
Re-Size BAR Support to Disabled;
- Settings -> Advanced -> Integrated Peripherals - VGA Detection to Auto;
- Settings -> Advanced -> Integrated Graphic Configuration -> Initiate Graphic Adapter to PEG;
IGD Multi-Monitor to Disabled;
- Security -> Secure Boot to Disabled;
- OC Settings -> CPU Features -> CFG Lock to Disabled.
