Gigabyte Z690 ELITE AX D4 + i9-12900K + AMD RX 6600 XT

Hello,

Is the playback smooth while editing in Premiere Pro?
It doesn't lag or buffer when playing back 4k videos with the resolution set to full?

I've edited on the new Macs with the M1 chips and I'm hoping the 6600 XT can also do smooth playback.
I can say we are playing back 6k and 8k with full resolution in the smoothest way.
Let me tell you that the cpu and the memory ram are the motors of video play back. The dGPU works mostly at exports.

Hi, it is a very nice hackintosh.
1, I am just wondering whether your hackintosh is stable. Have you ever experienced any freeze issues or USB drop problems?. I am using a Z390 Aorus Pro, and it has freeze issues even when USB mapping is correct. So I am planning to upgrade to Z690 Aorus Elite like yours.
2, I already have Fenvi T-919, do you think this card can work properly on the board?
3, could you share photos of USB map of the motherboard so that I can map USB for myself?

Thank you very much

I am using the same Z690 Elite AX but still having issue with rebooting. It is stuck there with a completely black/no signal screen. As this only happens when I come back to it the next day and I barely reboot, it is not a big problem for me but still quite annoying.

It seems to be something related to USB. All the sleep/hiberation are dsiabled, only the screen will be turned off. Tried serveral different configurations but none of them works.

Thank you very much. I will consider other motherboards as well

Very nice, congratulations,, could you post GeekBench 5 results, especially single core
Thanks
I second this request, please.
@arquicion could you share a bench, if you have time to run it?

Thanks a lot

Hola Arquicion!

I'm about to receive a Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4, do you think that your EFI folder will do the trick?
It must be kind of the same motherboard, right?

Thanks,

Hi, I think I will work all right, just pair with the differences and fix them, like the USB ports mapping. I just updated my EFI to latest OC version with some other improvements.

Hi, @arquicion! It actually works. However, I'm struggling with USB ports mapping, seems that only USB2 are working.

The problem is that if I activate USBInjectAll and deactivate USBToolBox, the system doesn't boot after Clover picker; it goes black. I'm kind of lost in the port mapping process, even though I'm reading beginners guide.

Just forget about my UTBMap.kext
Look at the attached picture, you have to enable UTBDefault.kext along with the USBToolBox.kext, and set the XHCIPortLimit quirk to true
Then you can map your USB ports with USB TOOL BOX, just download the latest script for macOS and run it to discover the ports and to define them, then could create your own utbmap.kext. You can do this on windows too, It's a lot better.
