Hi everyone,

I am trying to install OSX Mavericks on my HP Compaq DC7900 Desktop computer and after already solving some issues by myself, I am stuck now getting the installer to boot on my system with the last line stating "(...) Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport!"

I already tried to boot with -x but it also gets stuck at the same point. I am using the iMac 10.1 SMBIOS (but also tried other ones with the same result), I am injecting USB and use FixHPET (which I need for keep the USB ports from being disabled during the boot process). I already tried the boot arguments GraphicsEnabler=No and -x but it did not fix the problem. InjectNVIDIA could also not change anything. According to some online research it seems to be a problem with the initialization of my graphics card.

I set up the boot stick with Clover Legacy Boot Mode v2.5k r5102 and configured my config file with the Clover Configurator. For further reference I added my DSDT as well as my config file. If any further information is required, please let me know!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Boot with nv_disable=1 boot argument.

I already tried the boot arguments GraphicsEnabler=No

GraphicsEnabler=No/Yes is from the Chimera/Chameleon boot loader, it has no meaning in Clover.

Way back in 2014 I wrote a guide to install Mavericks on a DC7900.
It's not great but might give you a bit of an insight :

Thank you! nv_disable=1 seems to have solved the graphics issue, after it is confirmed that the argument is used ("NVDATesla: disabled by nv_disable=1 boot-arg") the system gets stuck at the "Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport!" line for 5-10 minutes. Then it switches to a white screen where the system is stuck with a spinning cursor of death. Unfortunately this leaves me without any verbose info that could help me to debug the issue. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks for your help, I will also check the guide that you referenced for some insight and will try to apply it to my Clover situation.

Thank you. Unfortunately using rootless=0 leads to another error (attached here). Do you think there is any way to get the system booting or should I try it without starting with clover and follow your guide from the beginning (If I understand correctly, in your guide you started with an UniBeast stick and then switched to Clover with as your system's bootloader later)?

Simplify things, take the graphics card out, you don't need it to install the OS.

Why have you added PS/2 kexts ?

"still waiting for root device" usually relates to a USB problem - Try using a different port.
Boot with -v -x -f.

Thanks for your help once again! I am using PS/2 keyboard and mouse that's why I added the kext. I deleted it know and used a minimal setup with only the basic kexts, the arguments IGPEnabler=1 -v -x -f rootless=0 (and different variations of these) and removed the graphics card but now I have an entirely new error showing up.

I wrote a guide almost eight years ago and I no longer have my dc7900 but I do remember that it was very easy to install the OS. If you follow the guide it will work.
