Gigabyte Z690 ELITE AX D4 + i9-12900K + AMD RX 6600 XT

@arquicion
I am puzzled, isn’t the igfx used for h264 exporting in Premiere? So, in a build without igfx support, alas your system, the benefit is due to the AMD video card processing, right ?
Hey, sorry to bug you.
Do you have any clue about what I wrote ?

Premiere makes use of the iGPU only in some H264 exporting scenarios, when you export settings go along with the hardware acceleration criteria. We never really found this hardware acceleration as something. It can only helps you with quick H264 exports with the basics and minimum settings. Micro-timing. Not big deal. Only a dedicated GPU makes the hard work fast enough.

Hey arquicion, I have 2 hackintosh systems with i9-9900k and i9-9600k with z390 Designare motherboards and Sapphire Rx580 8Gb Pulse editions GPUs. Since my hackintoshes are built for video editing in mind and based on CasseySJ amazing guide, I would like to ask if you are using hevc/h265 files to edit with? I'm mainly using Fcpx and Resolve for my work and my cameras are Canon C70, BM Pocket 6k Pro and R6 as c-cam. Braw is working w/o issues but the Canon cameras with h265 files make my gpus cry when editing. Very slow editing and not smooth at all. I saw that RX 6600 XT has hevc/h265 encode and decode support. So, how is the performance on that matter, do you edit h265 files in your NLE? I'm thinking to buy two of these 6600xt to give some extra power juice to my machines..

I am using the same motherboard with 12900KF. May I ask a favor to try Android emulator for me? It is not working on my 12.3. Just want to confirm if it is my configuration issue or not.

Hi. I am away and far from the computer until next month
I am using the same motherboard with 12900KF. May I ask a favor to try Android emulator, but I would say that it is mostly related to the OS Monterey. Hace you try any other android emulator?

This is great info!
I also have built a video work machine for FCPX workflow,
Opencore 0.7.8
i9-10850
32GB of RAM
1TB Samsung M2
500GB Samsung SSD
Fenvi T919
Sapphire RX6600XT (replaced Asus RX580).
I am using iMacPro 1,1 (2017) definition and have disabled iGPU in bios (so the computer boots to GPU).
AppleTV DRM content and Netflix are viewed fine.
FCPX Bryce test export in 10.5.4 was about 10 sec (so so)
Didn't try yet on real work, will report as it goes.
Meanwhile, please tell us about your impressions of FCPX work and your experience!

We are currently working on Premiere Pro, but we all know that FCPX does a lot better, H264 exports are always faster than Premiere Pro.
By the way, I cannot play Bruce Test on the latest versions of FCPX, so I guess it needs to be updated.

Hello,

Is the playback smooth while editing in Premiere Pro?
It doesn't lag or buffer when playing back 4k videos with the resolution set to full?

I've edited on the new Macs with the M1 chips and I'm hoping the 6600 XT can also do smooth playback.
