There is a problem for Windows 10 using Alder Lake as it assumes all cores are the same. So task scheduler will use any core and it will slow down the machine if E cores are used.

I am not sure if MacOS can detect high performance and high efficient cores. If not, enabling all cores is just useless for normal use.

So fast wow..very eager to test mine as well, hope fully can do it by tomorrow ...the mounting bracket is the main component which is missing...

If your board is another model, having your SysReport (or any other form of ACPI dump) is still valuable, to check whether there are system differences.

I was watching a handful of YouTube videos comparing performance of Alder Lake under Win 10 and Win 11 with all cores enabled. In most cases there was no real penalty with E-cores enabled. In some circumstances this can be a problem, but not in all cases.

To state the obvious (I think?): if we have to disable the E-cores, then the 12700KF becomes our CPU of choice. Only 4 E-cores and no iGPU...

To create a Golden Build, we first need to settle on a specific motherboard. Which board shall we use?

• Gigabyte Z690 Aero D?
• Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Master?
• MSI Z690 MEG ACE?
• Asus Z690 ProArt Creator WiFi?
• Asus Z690 Maximus Hero?

P.S. This does not constitute a promise to create a Golden Build. I'll think about it...
