Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Super helpful! Thanks! I won't even bother then.

I thought the rear USB C would not do video on the 8, but I guess I'm mistaken. Glad to be wrong! I can't test out now, as I'm waiting on a warranty claim for a fan replacement. I definitely appreciate the help though! Cheers!
You definitely should be able you get video from the Thunderbolt/USBc jack on the back of the NUC8.

Hi guys,
I have NUC10i7 FNH, and I still can't install MacOS Big Sur, this is no update, this is fresh new install from scratch.
I used Open Core EFI this forum and from another one, but still no luck. When I hit install Big Sur I stuck on the black screen, please see attachment below. Please let me know what do you need from side. Thanks! I also attached my EFI directory.
I also used EFI directory from Zavrus, but still doesn't work for me.
Please help me to resolve it.
Thanks!

Your next post was deleted but my advice is the same, you can probably install Catalina or update the version of OpenCore you are trying to use for Big Sur including the core kexts.
You can also try disabling "SecureBootModel" in the config.plist from "Default"

Hello everybody, thank you for your awesome work!, I got a NUC10i7FNK and I've installed Catalina 10.5.6 with success, everything works following your EFI folders and guide, but every now and then I have a problem with my second display connected to a USB-C to HDMI adapter, when resuming from sleep the second display remains black and you can only see the mouse pointer, not any window even dragging them there, if I disconnect the USB-C cable and plug it back it works ok again, until next resuming from sleep. I have updated BIOS to the latest version available, any hint?

Thank you.

Just curious... I've been running my NUC10i7 for a while HDMI Sound never worked. No option to even select it. The other thing that I'd like to get running is the built in SD Card reader. My kids are forever taking my USB ones from my desk and when I need them, they're gone. I could superglue them in to the USB port if I have to but if there is a way to get the SD Card working that would be great.

Hi @rmasci if you want, you can test the latest Sinetek driver/kext updated here few days ago: https://github.com/cholonam/Sinetek-rtsx/releases
I have not tried it yet, but I have good reasons to believe that Intel didn't change the SD reader between NUC8 and NUC10 platforms. Please post your results when you can, thanks.

That behavior is generally related to a couple of things, the monitor and display cable you are using as well as how the iGPU is configured in the DeviceProperties/Add section of your config.plist. Unfortunately there are no native drivers for the NUC10 i7 iGPU in any version of Mac OS so CPU emulation is used to spoof it into thinking you are running a Coffee Lake processor. You maybe be able to tweak the display properties using Hackintool to correct that issue but if its your monitor that's not cooperating that's tougher to correct.
