Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

SUCCESS!
Just finished my setup an everything looks fine using @CaseySJ EFI! :headbang: (using standard OC:V2-OC-0.5.9-STD-Z490-VISION-D)
I've installed windows first on SATA SSD, then unplugged it, and installed Catalina on (bottom) Nvme drive.
Dual boot working fine!
Now copying Home folders backup manually and reinstalling apps.

Glad to hear more and more people are having successes. I'm probably going to do my build over the weekend, did you install the point 6 release or the older point 5? I'm just getting all the installers together.

Totally transparent update to 10.15.6 for me. @CaseySJ your vision D tutorial rocks, my system runs smoothly and the update was absolutely straightforward!! :)

It should be okay to install 10.15.6 directly. Enjoy the build process and remember those wise words, haste makes waste!

With the new F5d firmware, the Vision D is easily my favorite board for Hackintosh!

the white GUI hurts my eyes though

No kidding - and the graphic design is a bit overwrought. Worse on the white background than it was on the black. Hopefully we won't need to stare at the BIOS very much over the years!

Have you checked Jumbo Frames (MTUs) in System Preferences --> Network --> Advanced... --> Hardware?

Was on standard frames in the Automatic configuration where speed was showing as 1000baseT. Changed to Manual and moved MTU to Jumbo frames, Applied, retested after the Ethernet stack reset itself...no change in Speedtest performance.

@mickelsn, @CaseySJ Listed below are results of WiFi and cabled Ethernet connections on one of our Z490 systems, with Fios Gigabit service supplied.

WiFi being the lower score attained.

Thanks. Appreciate the confirmation, now I just need to find the problem...I'm sure it's going to be something stupid that will require me to reset my entire home network to find, because, you know -- that's just how things go. LOL

Opinions are just opinions so I'll add my own: I *love* the new firmware design. It's finally consistent with the rebranding effort for Vision G and Vision D. I also love the new look of Big Sur.

Incidentally, I have never used Dark Mode in macOS. It just looks wrong to me...

@CaseySJ I took a closer look at my sleep problem, because it is quite obvious that several people have problems with the fenvi card. It turns out, my system successfully goes into sleep mode without the fenvi card. It only took almost 12 minutes without additional settings in the hackintool...

I'm finally one step closer. Thanks for all the tips.
