Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Have you fix it ?
Nope. I never figured it out. One day it just finally stuck. Overall I have found this board to be extremely flaky.
I also have had issues where it would keep changing the boot options on me. Then after several days, all of the sudden it would take.

It is my second one. I won't be buying anything from Gigabyte ever again. I have always had problems with their stuff. I will be using ASUS exclusively from now on.

Update never mind I went into BIOS again this morning and it did it again
lol

any idea what XDCI CNVW is and how can I stop it from waking up the mackintosh ? Thanks :)

Edit: I created a custom USBPorts.Kext I guess it has something to do with it :(

Test with mine.
Check if your have and remove :
  1. All kexts with in name "USB"
  2. ACPI patch :
    1. SSDT-USB.aml
    2. SSDT-UIAC.aml
  3. Patch in config.plist :
    1. USB Port Limit Patch 1
    2. USB Port Limit Patch 2
  4. Clean NVRAM :
    1. Clover : sudo nvram -c (If your have warning its okey)
    2. OpenCore : clean NVRAM on boot

Looks like USB related. Fix your USB.

Hey @pastrychef! I somehow screwed up my USB, I think? A few of my ports work, and I have the 10.15.x USB patches, but most of them don't and when I plug in a USB stick to one I get the attached console messages.

I've attached my EFI. Thanks, man! Love this build.

EDIT: Just tested some more. I could get that USB stick to mount, but it took a good 60 seconds to show up. Just put in a USB SD card reader, got no mount no nothing.

Hi,

Is Catalina a requirement to get the stability benefits and NVRAM, or can I stay at Mojave? If I do stay at Mojave, what changes are there? Does the new USB port config method work with Mojave or do I stick with USBInjectAll and the SSDT port config file? (I've already upgraded my Aorus Pro to F12d.)

You can use Mojave if you like.

If you are using my EFI folder, you shouldn't need to make any changes for Mojave.

If you have a USB SSDT configured for use with USBInjectAll, you can continue using it.
