Updated to latest 0.5.9

FYI they are modifying properties in config.plist
one removed HideSelf

recommend use of Sanity Checker but verify its results against guide for chipset
Sanity Checker shows a different config setting than the guide - I go by guide unless it dont boot

temporarily back to 0.5.8
0.5.9 causing hickup with windows (ACPI ERROR)

Foster... Very curious if you can share your your process (maybe link to sites) for OpenCore. I've been a avid TM user for a long time. I've recently fragged my 10.15.3 in the upgrade to .4 and realize my only real saving grace will be NEW drive, fresh installation of Cat. My luck thus far with Clover 07-17 has not been fruitful, nor have I had my normal great success with Unibeast. I have a Z370 Aorus though, not the Z390--If I need to change that, so be it. Seems the updates on 370 or far and few between. DOH.

Just recompiled from source and grabbed latest OCBinaryData folders
Everything back to normal for 0.5.9
Now Bless override is an issue
empty it puts up the windows drive icon but points to something in OpenCore causing critical error I had to point it to Windows to keep it form causing a critical error

Jacknva: I have OC folder at first post of this thread

Nah man too much hassle I'm sticking to 0.5.8 until the bug is ironed out and by hard confirmation. 0.5.8 is running sweet on my rig, I've already crapped up my install with 0.5.9 because instead of applying my procedure of putting it on my test drive, I put it on my daily driver :banghead: I get the idea with changing the Boot Strap but its half baked at the moment so I'll just wait :)

I keep a usb with working OpenCore EFI as backup

IF I mess up SSD EFI, grab USB and copy it to SSD

Yea - Good call, Ive got quite a few Clover usb Installs in my 'Go To Box' from El Capitan to Catalina now adding to list with Catalina OC and NDK OC. Have you given 0.5.9 another shot? I did today but had to make a minor change in the BIOS.

The trick is, when you load the new 0.5.9 EFI Folder and reboot, right at the restart reset the NVRAM at the Bootpicker. This will trigger another restart whereas you go straight into the BIOS, go to Boot Order and remove the old UEFI entry previously used by Opencore Bootx64 so you're left with the new name Opencore boot entry and the Windows one, save and you are done

Whenever I reset nvram is when I get into trouble

Only Windows boot loader shows up
Requiring me to use usb to boot
Temporarily remove Microsoft folder
Reboot then the UEFI OS Samsung 970 show up as a boot option select it OpenCore loads no problem but have to have picker on or it self picks itself causing the same critical error as when accidentally picking the windows icon with bless override entry empty

I decided that usb will always be picker on and verbose and tested before I do any updates

I just noticed that OpenCore shows up in boot options - i didn’t know what to think of it
