The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

Sorry I haven't created one yet. I was just doing some preliminary ground work

When you create your EFI, you can try using the "-wegnoegpu" boot argument to disable your GTX 1080 Ti.

Thanks for the reply,

I did find another EFI that someone posted from an almost identical setup. I was going to use that as a starting point.

I read about the boot argument you mentioned I just wasn’t sure where I needed to place it in my clover configurator.

Oh that’s easy lol,

is there anything else that Needs to be changed in clover?

I haven't personally tried this approach to disabling a discrete video card so I can't say for sure... I just know how it's theoretically supposed to work and, from what I've read, no, nothing else needs to be done. Just make sure that your IGPU is configured correctly in config.plist > Devices > Properties.

Ok thanks for the help,

I’ll give this a try when I get some time

@ModMike
As you wrote: The everything works. Everything. Yesterday I started to put together a set like yours with a friend - I did not want surprises that something does not match, something is missing. Initially there was a problem with the installation, because I do not know why Mac in Recovery did not turn off SIP. As I finally saw what was going on - the installation went through without any problems. Mac runs good On Catalina 10.15.3
Next question. OC - what are your settings and is it stable? Deepcool Captain 240 cooling.
Best regards, and thanks Mike for guide - it’s perfect. Great job.

Hey guys, I just installed hackintosh yesterday successfully with no issues. Just two minor questions.
How can I auto select to boot from mac in clover? should this have been done through installation?
Also, How can I disable SIP ? When I disable in the recovery and come back its still the same.
Thanks!

Both answers came from this site in other locations:

How to Set Clover to Automatically Boot System Drive
If post-installation is complete, set your system drive to auto-boot from Clover boot screen with a timeout setting in config.plist

1. Mount EFI if Clover installed to the EFI partition
2. Open /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist in any text editor
3. Navigate to Boot/DefaultVolume and add your drive's name
4. Navigate to Boot/Timeout and enter a number in seconds (setting 0 will require hitting return to boot)
5. Save file and reboot

To disable SIP

  • If you are trying to Disable SIP on an installed System on a hard disk that has already got CLOVER installed, get Clover Configurator (Global Edition) and mount the EFI of the System Disk on the desktop using CC as shown in the earlier link and follow the method to navigate EFI>EFI>CLOVER.config.plist Rt click>Open with CC> go to Rt Variables > CsrActiveConfig > and type in 0x67 [ this value is SIP DISABLED] (see image)
  • Once edited, go to the bottom left of that screen and click on the 2nd Rightward Arrow and Save the editedconfig.plist in that CLOVER

Thanks!
One more question.
I noticed when I put the computer to sleep and try to wake the system appears to wake but the monitor (connected with hdmi) doesn't. Is there anything I need to do ?
