x270 catalina - time for optimization

To be honest i wasn't able to touch them as i had no time, i have them on my ToDo list, hopefully upcoming week ill have some time to work on your codecs.

actually, mine seems to be ok using layout-id=7 on my machine (i understand we have completely different codecs) so there is nothing i need you to look at for my code (something less for your todo list )

also using headphones it was distorted so tested with:

hda-verb 0x19 SET_PIN_WIDGET_CONTROL 0x25

and it cleared up straightaway, so i used your updated ALCPlugFix and added that to the code and rebuilt and that all works great

of course still using CodecCommder.kext but it all works good

I install Catalina 10.15.3 into my laptop (X270 i5 6200u, 8G RAM, SSD 256Gb) dual boot Win 10. I realized that SD card reader not working on 10.15.3-I will test it later; BTW, I found the finger print with Product ID-0097, Vendor ID-138a. Anyone can help me finding software to make it work. I tried TrueSuite but it's not feedback.

I fixed SD card reader and also bluetooth on 10.15.3 (I replaced with Dell DW1560 before). Here my solution:
- Fix SD card reader: I used Kext Utility to install CodecCommander.kext; used Hackintool to install Sinetek-rtsx.kext at S/L/E. Reboot, it's fixed for me (my card reader is 10EC:522A).
- Fix Bluetooth: just copy 3 kext into EFI/Clover/kexts/other.

Everyone try it. Hope it's work.

Install Mojave first.

Create partition.

Install Catalina on new partition from within Mojave.

I've just formated wrong disk and all Hackintosh is gone. I followed this link to make SD Cardreader avaiable. My SD is is 10EC:522A. Fist at all, you must find the vendor, product ID.

I have exactly the same Device ID as you for the card reader.

Tried it with and without codeccommander and it didn't work.

I opened Kext Utility (first time looking at the app) and it looks like it made a change somewhere in system directory to make my WIFI (+Bluetooth) hardware not found.

I added the sinetek and codeccommander kexts (these didn't work) and then removed them. No other EFI changes or S/L/E changes.

Maybe Kext Utility changed something in the system directory?

I just had to recover the OS from USB and use a backup EFI.

Beware! Make sure you are keeping regular backups.

Can you guys share what drivers you have? I'm trying to make a boot disc again and I always get a reboot just before it finishes... not sure what to do. I have windows installed...

I've just checked again, the Sinetek-rtsx.kext in L/E. Can you try again.
