[Guide] Install Catalina on the Dell Optiplex 7010 and 9010 Desktop PC

Use the files I provided, install where they should go and it will work. Also, for Motherboard info in your profile it should say Dell Optiplex x010. Not sure if you have a 7010 or 9010.

Nvidia NVS510 that I know works in Mojave in the same system. Thanks again for your assistance!

How are you outputting sound? HDMI? For me, I only get HDMI output from one of my display ports. If HDMI isn't an option when you select your sound output, try the other display port.
 
I got a Nvidia 210, does it require any special treatment?

It's not supported in Catalina officially. There is something you can do post install to get it to work.

I followed your helpful guide and cross-checked with the High Sierra/Mojave thread elsewhere.

I upgraded to a RX 570, but I'm not getting any BIOS/Clover boot screen after the change. However, if I press return, it boots in eventually to Catalina and looks gorgeous. Works fine. I am guessing it's because I am using HDMI.

I did try various options - ATI Inject, etc, etc, etc... No change.

My only worry is if I will have to plug in a wired USB keyboard to boot it each time I do since I am using a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse.

I can see from others that DisplayPort may be more workable as an option, right, instead of pure HDMI?
