Could anybody check if their NVMe controller appears like Generic SSD Controller and not like Apple SSD Controller?
Could anybody check if their NVMe controller appears like Generic SSD Controller and not like Apple SSD Controller?
My Samsung NVMe 951 is reporting as an 'Apple SSD Controller' under SATA/SATA Express tab, but is reporting as a 'Generic SSD Controller' under NVMExpress tab in System Information.
Probably just cosmetic issue as there is no noticeable degradation of the NVMe drives speed.
Could anyone with 970 EVO check what it tells in their NVMExpress tab please?
I’ve had the same issue with low budget SSD SATA drives. Samsung, Sandisk, Kingston drives all list correctly but Inland Pro SSDs list as generic.
Is the 951 listing as Samsung?
