[Release] Hackintool v3.x.x

Go to System Preferences->Displays then hold down Alt and click on Scaled. You should then get extra resolutions listed.
Thanks; yes, I did try that, and some extra resolutions did appear, but they were all lower than 1920x1080... for example, 480 appeared as the lowest res. listed... but 2560x1440 did not appear.

You can use Hackintool to generate custom resolutions.

OK great, but I'm not sure how to do that. For instance, I see there's a "Display" icon at the top in Hackintool (am now using v2.3.5). I clicked the plus-sign at the bottom of tha window to be able to see various Scaled Resolutions, and I can edit one of them (for instance, I changed 1680x945 type HiDPI 1 to read 2560 x 1440)... but that info doesn't go into the framebuffer patch. So how do I apply it to Mojave (or get it into Clover config.plist)? See attached screenshot, thanks!

1. Go to the Display tab
2. Click the + button to add resolutions
3. Click the + button again to add a custom resolution
4. Enter 2560 x 1440 into the appropriate table cells
5. Click the Export button to generate the DisplayVendorID-x folder to your desktop
6. Copy DisplayVendorID-x folder into /System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides
7. Reboot

Thanks! After I replied earlier, I poked around and found your Hackintool built-in Help. It describes the procedure you said, but also adds a few others, like copying the exported .kext and Icons.plist files into certain folders. Should I also do those steps in addition to the one you mentioned?

Note that along with your standard Graphics/Audio injection you can now include PCI Devices when you export directly to your Clover config.plist.

The kext is only for injecting EDID so not needed. You can use Icons.plist if you want it's just a cosmetic thing (shows the icon in System Preferences->Displays)

Thanks again.. you really are one of the most diligent workers on this site. I can't reboot until later to test this out but if it works I really will click your PayPal button to buy you that beer :)

Hackintool v2.3.5 Released
- Fixed bug in Device Path generator (gfxutil)
- Added "Generate Windows UTC Registry Files" tool

Hi there. Thanks for this continued hard work.

Might just be me but I've downloaded the new version 2.3.5 a couple of times today and I keep getting a "Hackintool" is damaged and can't be opened..." error message.

:)
