No Ethernet detected on hp8300 elite snow leopard install

Hey everyone, so I got an hp 8300 and checked that everything worked while it still booted to windows...connected to the net no problem..everything gtg
Then on the install, everything was going great until I got to the step where I had to identify my keyboard...which it didn’t recognize
And then when I plugged the Ethernet cable in to try and update to version 10.6.8 there is no Ethernet detected so I can’t go online

I read where it said to NOT plug in the cable till the desktop...any ideas?

My bios is 2.51 and my install cd is OS X 10.6.3

Did you make the iBoot (Ivy Bridge version) CD to boot from. If not you need that.
If Ethernet still doesn't work then install just the ethernet (AppleIntelE1000e) kext from
Multibeast for Snow Leopard. Reboot and see if ethernet works.

Also you shouldn't have your GT 710 graphics installed as they won't work. Use HD4000 via DisplayPort output. Adapt it to HDMI if need be.

Yes I ran ivy bridge I boot..worked great ty!
So run multibeast with snow leopard...the instructions said not to, but your the man who wrote them, so just want to check

I took out my gt 710.(you’re good) and I am using the vga connection

What CPU are you using ? i5-3470 or something else ?
It's fine to install a single kext like ethernet, just don't install Chimera bootloader or other things. Not needed.

Can multibeast be downloaded by pc...I have no access to a Mac and my internet isn’t working on my hacky...lol
I was gonna put it on the same disc as I boot ivy bridge
