VirtualSMC or FAKESMC? what are the improvements?
VirtualSMC or FAKESMC? what are the improvements?
But which one is your favourite?Your choice. You can read about VirtualSMC in its README/wiki.
But which one is your favourite?
(which is a pretty dumb question actually since you're one of the main FakeSMC developers)
I think maybe there's a bug in SMCBatteryManager.kext
It doesn't show correct cycle counts for battery.
Yes for about 20 sec. after boot it shows the correct 63 cycles for my battery but then reset to 0
I´m using istats menu for quick acces to info
But also Coconut and System Report shows 0
Could someone please check if that's the case on their setup to ?

I did´nt expect counter questions. I just asked if other users of VirtualSMC/SMCBatteryManager was having the same issue.
Not that it is a big issue but you said that you are testing VirtualSMC on several setups so I assumed that you/other could answer my question directly.
No offence but I never used that PR reporting tool.Never needed to,never bothered to learn how,and properbly never will
(I´m a little old school) (62 years old and still going wrong )
Ok never mind/forget it I was hoping for a straight answerYou didn't answer my questions.
Therefore I can't answer yours.
You might check the SMCBatteryManager.kext source code to see if/how it might implement cycle count.
And the only place cycle count is available from ACPI is in _BIX (read ACPI spec).
