pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I don't know. Hopefully, AptioMemoryFix or OsxAptioFixDrv will be updated with support for Z390 NVRAM. The same thing happened about 2 years ago and native NVRAM was broken for many motherboards. It took about a year before vit9696 fixed it with AptioMemoryFix.

is good news, although I gave up the z390 and I went back to z370 ... I lost some money, but as it says: you win or lose the name of the merchant is yours (popular proverb in my country) ...:)

In my opinion, Z370 is the better choice today. Maybe I will consider upgrading when all the little bugs get fixed.

you are right ... another word from the people in my country: I rushed like the deaf women at the zipper ...:)

Not possible. If you have IGPU enabled, it will be used by macOS.

The IGPU is not supposed to appear in System Information because it's configured to be headless/connector-less. Just because it doesn't appear in System Information does not mean it's not in use. Even on real iMacs, the IGPU does not appear in System Information. Use IORegistryExplorer to look for the IGPU.

Using config.plist > Graphics > Inject Intel is an older method that has been superseded. If you are on Mojave, you should not need any injections macOS should detect your IGPU. Make sure you have your BIOS set up correctly.

I checked the bios (1601) and there are no errors. I installed High Sierra and I did other tests. With your EFI folder it gives me problems. Do I have to change any settings in clover?

In the pictures you see the difference between your EFI and my EFI.

You are injecting the incorrect device-id. You are not using the config.plist included in my EFI folders or you made changes.

Please post your config.plist.

My config.plist is almost empty because I was trying to copy yours. I would like to use your own directly.

When I try with your EFI I do not make any changes.

Edit: Resolved, Thanks for the help.

Your config.plist is:
  • Missing all the renames.
  • Does not have CPU power management enabled.
  • Still using old method to Inject Intel graphics.
  • Not spoofing Kaby Lake IGPU (which is required if you are on High Sierra).
  • Has no 15 port limit patch. (not needed if you have SSDT for USB)
  • Has Inject Kexts set to "Detect" which doesn't work.

Please try this one.

Hi, what is the recommended setting for Vega 64 using your tool. My Gigabyte Vega 64 temp always high and fan always spinning. Thanks

I didn't create the tool. VGTab was created by a Chinese programmer and translated for us by another forum member.

As I've stated before, everyone's card will behave a little differently. The first step to trying to reign in the fans would probably be to set the target temperature. I use 55C. Then lower the idle fan RPM to between 800-1000. A Vega 64 will run hotter than a Vega 56 so 1000rpm to start is probably a good idea.

Hi there,

I just noticed a very strange behaviour with my SSDs. They fill up very quickly, although there is very little data on it. I already checked on my system profile, and for trim it says "yes" on all ssds. I never had this issue before, I am running the latest EFI.

Any ideas what it could be?

Also on my portable SSD I couldn't erase it with my Hackintosh, I had to use my Macbook Pro...
