pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I tried to remove nvda_drv=1 from boot (with your EFI) but I still have problems.

Thanks anyway. If you have any other advice or ideas, I will be grateful.

I really can't figure out what can possibly cause the system to not boot when enabling the Nvidia web drivers.

Please post verbose picture of where it stops.

I had to RMA my RAM and am currently running on 8GB of very cheap RAM.
Where you getting memory errors?
It's interesting to see how much of a difference RAM makes to Geekbench scores.
Yeah, I saw the same when adjusting memory timings, but I tend not to put too much credence to Geekbench scores. It's very synthetic.

I managed to get your EFI folder working. After many attempts I found the setting that caused the problem (and I assume it is the fault of some Kext).

In System Parameters in Inject Kexts I had to put on "detect" (before it was on yes) and the system boots up with running nvidia drivers.

Can you explain how to proceed or advice to stay that way?

My RAM was causing violent, abrupt shutdowns. I never messed with the timings. I just left them at the XMP settings. Switched to my cheap RAM and everything is stable.

Detect doesn't work. If you are able to boot because you set it to detect, odds are you have duplicate kexts in /Library/Extensions/ and/or /System/Library/Extensions.

Do I have to delete duplicates and leave only those in the other folder?

Yes, if you are going to use my EFI folder, remove all hackintosh kexts from /Library/Extensions/ and /System/Library/Extensions.

Please see post #4598.

Oops.....10.14.2 is officially out.....

macOS Mojave 10.14.2 up and running here. Smooth upgrade. System restarts itself twice.

For Intel 9th gen CPU users, IGPU still needs to spoof 8th gen ig-platform-id.
