On macOS, Metal supports Intel HD and Iris Graphics from the HD 4000 series or newer, AMD GCN-based GPUs, and Nvidia Kepler-based GPUs or newer.

AMD
GCN is fabricated in 28 nm and 14 nm graphics chips, available on selected models in the Radeon HD 7000,HD 8000,200,300,400 and 500 series of AMD Radeon graphics cards.

NVIDIA
Kepler was Nvidia's first microarchitecture to focus on energy efficiency. Most GeForce 600 series, most GeForce 700 series, and some GeForce 800M series GPUs were based on Kepler, all manufactured in 28 nm. Kepler also found use in the GK20A, the GPU component of the Tegra K1SoC, as well as in the Quadro Kxxx series, the Quadro NVS 510, and Nvidia Tesla computing modules.

Kepler was followed by the Maxwell microarchitecture and used alongside Maxwell in the GeForce 700 series and GeForce 800M series.

On 300 Series (signature), Mojave Public Beta 10 recognizes GeForce GTX 670 (Kepler) and supports Metal:

Wow that's such an old GPU, i'm using a similar gtx650 lol

Got to love those Kepler cards, fully supported by macOS, no waiting for web drivers! Which version of Mojave do you have?

Thanks for posting.

Exactly. That's why I am still using GTX 760 and GTX 660 in my systems (plus a RX 580 which is natively supported in High Sierra and Sierra (Sierra requiring the Lilu and WhateverGreen kexts)).

Good to see that the GTX 760 is still supported in MacOS Mojave.

Personally I only use graphics cards that are natively supported. I have avoided Maxwell and Pascal cards on my hackintoshes (I have several of them but they are only used for Windows 7 and 8.1.) for this reason.

I'm using high sierra still waiting for the official mojave build. BTW did you guys encounter the problem where the the device doesn't wake up from sleep? I think it has to do with the GPU but I haven't found a fix.

I have an Intel HD3000, can I run Mojave?

I have just replaced the GTX 660 in my Older Build with a second hand Sapphire HD 7870 Ghz edition, and the card appears to work in Mavericks / Yosemite / El Capitan / Sierra / High Sierra. Metal support is available in High Sierra.

I should keep it there unless there are problems in the future.
