Hi all,

The Dell in portrait mode is the reason of my question as although it shows as in portrait mode in the system above, the orientation of the window is landscape. The weirdest part is that the actual objects in the UI react as in portrait mode so there is a 90-degree different between the object (like the Finder window) and the way the actual Finder window is represented.
When I changed the rotation (using the keyboard to navigate the Display settings window as it is really hard to select the right object with the mismatch of rendered window on the screen and objects in portrait mode, I can get the monitor back to showing the UI in portrait mode however after reboot it comes back to this.

I am curious to see if anybody has faced the blank screen issue on an RX580 despite the monitor showing in system preferences and whether anybody has seen this weird portrait mode issue as well.

I have the same issue. It has come about after either 10.13.6 or switching to a recent WhateverGreen.kext as it was fine on my initial build using RX580.

The easy resolution is to simply unplug the DisplayPort cable and plug it back in. Irritating, but I can live with it for now

I have this some portrait mode rotation bug--found this thread by searching around to see if anyone's solved it yet. It sort of smells like a macOS-side issue.

I ended up doing the same thing as this blog post on boot (another thing I found by searching, sigh): https://www.mattgibson.ca/radeon-rx...-10-13-4-automatically-rotate-screen-on-boot/

For sure real Macs have issues with it at least the Mac Pro I had did. However I was using MD to VGA monitor because it was only for showing text lists, but alas I dumped it because it always bugged out and then would bug out the rest of the monitors.

Hi guys,
Thank's for the thread.
Same problem here, I've read everything, try to understand/fix but it's beyond my knowledge/competence (and I'm french, so it's worth ;)
Pretty much the same gig than @Mspec with sysdef 18,3, on High sierra 10.13.5.
using 2 displayport (not working after half apple's logo on start) and a HDMI (working) screens (so 3 screens at a time).
My EFI below.
Thank's for the help, much appreciated.

Where are all your Kext installed? because you have zero in your EFI, do you have them in S/L/E or L/E? Maybe you could move them to Clover/Kexts/Other!

True, it was in L/E (I COPY and paste, or CUT and paste into the folder "Other" ???).
Hope there are the right ones (I've got a "EFI-Backups" folder into the folder "System" with other few kexts).
Rookie
Here there are.
Thank's

Yes copy and paste into the other folder, but not the real ones only the hack ones. So I guess to say if it is not in your EFI backup that you attached that you should likely leave it where it is. Try downloading the latest Lilu, & Whatevergreen and install them in the EFI/C/K/O folder. In addition you have a crap load of files in that folder I am not sure that you need them all but I am not the one that can tell you that. FakeSMC is about the only one you truly need to get your system working.

All right,
I had some problems with sound and ethernet, so I installed some stuff to make it work...everything's working now (except the Displayport), so gonna leave like that (a bit scared to remove something, except if it slow down a lot / make crash the system, seems not).
What about the displayport ?
Thx
