pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I did, but when it doesn't work, it looks exactly the same. I am now using PCIE bt/wifi card, plugged into the closest slot to the cha_fan and motherboard led/reset/power pins. What should my uia_exclude look like, just to confirm it's not that problem here. Also, how would I switch to old way of doing IntelInject and disable new way, to see if that's the problem too?

Okay. It took a few hours, but I finally convinced a friend to bring over an old monitor so I could test dual monitors.

My 4K monitor is connected via DisplayPort. His 1920x1200 monitor's DVI-D is connected via adaptor to my Vega 56's HDMI.

Sleep/wake works without a hitch.

IGPU is enabled as it is on the EFI folders in post #1.
Latest version of WhateverGreen, Lilu, AppleALC.
Tested login screen too. Also no problems at all.

After this, I have to conclude that it's something on your end. Please post your EFI folder again so I can see if I can find anything wrong.

Thanks!

How about the restart?
My machine will restart after showing login page(stay login page for 3-4sec then restart).
System will back to work if nothing will be opened after login in(Restart/Shutdown with un-click "reopen window when login" option).

Do you think it may related with Chrome's hardware acceleration?
Or any other suggestions?

As I noted above, I got a friend to bring over his monitor so I can test multi-monitor.

1. I installed Chrome.
2. Launched Chrome.
3. Restarted computer with:

4. Upon restart, I left it on the login screen for a minute or two.
5. Logged in.
6. No restart.

I have IGPU enabled. Both monitor connected to my Vega 56 via DisplayPort and HDMI.

You know if you plug two cords into your monitor and into your video card it will recognize it as a second monitor, it will even be there if you try and slide your mouse over to it though for obvious reasons you can not see it. You likely could put your monitor in some split configuration would allow you to test dual monitors even with only one. Also your Ipad if you have one can be used as a display.

Hey, I saw that r4.2 is available. Does this solve the issues reported with r4.1 and UHD 630?

*Users who are using UHD 630 ONLY are having problems with r4.1 and should continue to use EFI r3.5 for now or upgrade to 17G2112 build of High Sierra. If you want to upgrade to 17G2112, check post #2517 and use EFI from post #2485.

No. I don't expect it to be fixed until Mojave or 10.13.7.

strange, we have difference with clover SIMBIOS....use custom SMBIOS version ? if yes, why ?

Please, see my latest EFI attached. I tried to modify uia_exclude but it didn't change anything. I've also tested sleep/wake with two GPU's (980ti and Vega 56) and it behaves exactly the same way. I have recently changed the motherboard to non-wifi version, so it can't be its fault either.

@pastrychef, I see that you've changed the boot args, but is there still a need for the shikigva argument? I find Intel QSV still works without that argument. I am using 8700K (so UHD 630) + 1080 Ti. Nevertheless, I suppose there is no harm to using the argument.

@pastrychef The 4.2 EFI was supposed to be the latest Clover version but it seems to be 4428 instead? Isn't that a mistake? Also, why doesn't it include SSTD-USB.aml by default?

I think your name is the cause of all your problem, naming yourself Chaos invites Chaos into your life and space. But just the same I took an exteral clone drive and plugged it into my GF computer "Asus Strix z370 I5" with my vega card and with EFI 4.2. with Mojave sleep worked and it stayed asleep for 2/hrs while I went to dinner figured that was a good enough test and it woke up fine. However, I did-not enable IGPU.
