Hello, I followed https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/applehda-realtek-audio-guide.234732/#post-1606764
via cloverALC(audio_cloverALC-130_v0.5 2.command) to patch the AppleHDA driver. After reboot, I still couldn't get the audio device shown (tried multiple time

)

The desktop is a Lenovo m93p tiny, using ALC283, OS version: High Sierra: 10.13.6

Mainly so I can keep SIP enabled. Injection from outside the OS i.e. Clover seems to be the way to go in the vast majority of cases.

SSDT is disabled because config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes/YES; should be NO. Edit SSDT/layout-id/0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
Note: no motherboard requires all fixes; suggest set all to NO. If something does not work, set something to YES.

Add the X299 patch from the linked thread, enables macOS x299 audio support.
AppleALC.kext works when macOS supports x299 audio.

I'm new to the hackintosh world, and am trying to set up a High Sierra install on my gaming PC. So far I've got the system booting, along with my Nvidia graphics card, integrated networking, bluetooth and several other components working, but I'm having a heck of a time getting the integrated audio to work. I've tried several different tutorials / tools to rectify the problem without success. In my most recent attempt I ran the Mac OS installer to restore the default system files on my PC, then followed the steps outlined above on this thread exactly, and still am unable to see any audio devices in my system information app. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Here's the details of my configuration at the moment:

Audio Problem: No audio devices detected
OS X v.10.13.6
Motherboard: MSI M7 ACK x299 motherboard
BIOS: E7A901MS.180 (03/16/2018)
Processor: Intel i7-7800x
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1080

a. Kaby Lake audio patch is not working, try Quick Fix: Z370/200/X299/ Series Kaby Lake Audio/Method 2
b. MultiBeast audio does not support Audio ID: 7, set config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject/1
c. rebuild kext cache, Terminal:

d. restart
e. Reply with new files, including Terminal output from c.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I followed the steps described on the link you provided which still resulted in no audio devices detected. Then I re-ran the Mac OS install - to clear up any temporary files that may have been left behind by my earlier attempts at fixing this - and repeated the steps again. This still resulted in no audio devices detected.

Finally, I'm attaching a copy of the updated files generated after this second attempt for your review. Hopefully this helps isolate the problem.

Audio is completely disabled, macOS is damaged:
a. what kext installer did you use to install L/E/FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext and L/E/realtekALC.kext?
b. valid: S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext; AppleHDA.kext is installed in /L/E, why?

Fix: run macOS installer (UniBeast) over the current install.
