testing with the port types set at 3 for usb3 hs01/ss01 and Zero for the rest. Its still off in operating correctly.

taking out the mouse and putting in the usb3 with ss01/hs01 port, the usb give the ejected improperly error
after a few seconds.

I did note, this 8086a12f XHC did not have the same number of ssXX ports as your NUC

Why not just take the UIAC ssdt out of patched directory instead of using the boot flag?

Edit: got the same number of ports as your skylake NUC this time, but also got a crash and reboot w/
the mouse adapter going from hs09 to hs10 with all the ports injecting.

Double checking everything. The ports types were correct (no change) no internals being used.

The only next best hunch... drivers for rt2870 I saw somewhere you saying to watch out in using them.
They don't react on the asmedia device, but switching around w/ the thumb drive on intel things get
wierd.

Wrong is wrong.
hmm.. I went back looked at the NUC (skylake) example which only the (255) type was changed.

So I didn't need any change there but what else could it be? any hint? the ssdt should be correct.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

The problem is likely in using the rt3070 in testing.

The reason I think it does alright there is the intel uses XHC and the old driver gets screwy there.

I see the asmedia has XHCI over there under PSXS@0
