[Solved] Permanent loop after Unibeast

Status
Not open for further replies.
OK so tried adding Audio, Video, and Ethernet each time using multicast one at a time. Then reboot add another one.

Doing Audio separately had no effect at all same with Video.

I tried adding ALL Intel/Apple Ethernet and now back to looping

Set Clover to Verbose _ as suggested by @feartech.

Boot macOS from High Sierra (NB the icon shows an HFS drive but the instructions told me to install as AFS)

There is a LOT of txt thrown at the screen is there anyway to get it to write it to the USB drive?

It will take a very long time to transcribe a blurry video to this thread?

I am seeing ACPI Error xxxxx Namespace lookup failure AENOT FOUND

and No variables are initiatialized for nethost (PXSX)

FakeSMC: 5 keys exported by Clover EFI
SMC: successfully initialised

At the end just before reboot it has

@kec.pthread 1
@kec.Libn 1
@kec.corecryto 1.0
Attempting system restart ...

Then BANG screen clears and it reboots and the loop starts again

Any ideas or is it re-install from scratch 4th time?

Any thoughts ideas apprecatiated

What kexts do you have installed in /Library/Extensions/ and /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/?

@pastrychef - been trying to do this vanilla and according to instructions ....

All I have done to date is use Multibeast:-
Quick Start Clover UEFI Boot Mode
Audio Realtek ALCxxx - ALC1220
Disk Intel Generic AHCI SATA
Misc FakeSMC
FaceSMC Plugins
Network Intel AppleIntelE1000e v3.3.6 + 3 other Intel Apple Network
iMac 18,3
Graphics Intel HD 6xx
Intel Graphics Fixup

The Audio and Network ones never worked - the HD Video is up but suffer heavy corruption

When adding the other 3 Network ones it went into boot loop

Which version of macOS do you have installed?

I don't know which 3 other network kexts you installed, but try removing them all (including AppleIntelE1000e) and just install IntelMausiEthernet.

Also, try installing Lilu.kext and IntelGraphicsFixup.kext.

OK noob questions...

1. High Sierra
2. can you point me to instructions to removing network kexts from a system that won't boot please
3. can you point me to instructions on installing kexts please

I just followed the standard choose hardware, install macOS instructions

Just been following the tutorials - I'll search around and see if I can find any tutorials/FAQs

@feartech Thank you very much

It refers to :-

Post Install Comments

As mentioned - please see the EFI folder attached and install it in the appropriate directory of course.

I have read it through but cannot determine where on what is the appropriate directory found?

It is patently clear that this should be obvious but...... three days into Hackintosh's it isn't

At the risk of upsetting people who are trying to assist can you point me to a good starting point that explains the obvious?

I have restarted the 'Beast' processes again right form the very start again 4th time lucky

You can try booting in Safe Mode or in to Recovery then delete the kexts. In Recovery, you will need to do it from Terminal.

You can use KextBeast to install kexts. Just put the kexts you want installed on your desktop and run KextBeast.

As feartech suggested, it's probably a better idea to just follow a guide.
