Today brought an end to my motherboard! It continuously short beeps then restarts with no output.
This happened after I restarted my machine. The computer was stuck at the Gigabyte splash screen. So I pulled out the RAM and that was that.

The Gigabyte site suggests that short continuous beeps means power failure or power short.

Here is what i tested and i know works:
Ram
PSU
CPU
CPU sink
which just leaves me with the MOBO. I tried to get it to manually re-flash my BIOS using the backup BIOS but that didn't work. Reset the CMOS. I have done everything to be done but same beeps.

So whats the most native MOBO I can buy for my system???

fadis96,
The tonymacx86 archived Buyer's Guide for the 8-series motherboard systems is here. Here's the Motherboard section. The bad news is that you'll have to find an 8-series motherboard on the used market. The good news is that you can pick up a Z87X-UD5H, one of the top of the line Gigabyte Z87X motherboards of that time, on the used marketplace for a lot less than your old motherboard. Good luck!

I appreciate you man!. I'm UK based, and for the life of me i can not find this MOBO in stock. the only one i found costs over £200. you're right its rather amazing. is there a different between the Z87X-UD5H and Z87X-UD4H
Mind you, is it worth just upgrading all my system? i was thinking of using pcspecialist. I'm a 3D/motion designer, need a reasonably powerful machine.

No, you won't find it new, in stock. Only in the used marketplace. My advice is to find a Z87X replacement if you can find a used one. I say this because, first, you're installation drive will be reuseable because of the same audio and network chipsets and that will keep you in business. Second, when HS 10.13.4 comes out at the end of the month, it will have most of the bugs out of macOS (should have been done with the .3 update) AND AMD RX 500 and Vega graphics cards will be supported. So, upgrading to a Coffee Lake system will be feasible.

I don't know how much you depend upon your system for your living, but, if you do, I recommend my approach above. Otherwise, start looking for a Z370 motherboard, i7-8xxx processor and DDR4 memory. Your graphics card can be reused until you can afford another.

I hear you. okay so the only used z87x mobo i can find is the GA-Z87X-UD4H. which is not that much worst than the GA-Z87X-UD5h.
price: £80-£100

(...) but shipping from the mainland to the UK is going to be murder.
Which mainland do you refer to? I just checked the costs with one of the major services from Germany and with less than 5kg you should stay well below 20 Euros. Don´t have values from other countries at hand but I guess they should not be that much different, at least within the EU - but hurry ;-)

Hm, Peter R. has deleted his post?!?
But anyway: I checked the prices of DHL but I guess I´m not allowed to link to their price info.
They are also active in Belgium (where I remember Peter R. was from), so the prices should not differ too much.

Edit: Just noted that he is suspended. Maybe for trying to sell his hardware via the forum?
Edit2: Ah, P1LGRIM was faster...

i was thinking your post didn't make sense! okay so there was a person advertising his stock! hilarious.

Trouble is, in the U.K, there aren't many used item markets! unlike other country but i did find one board on eBay which cost me £95( GA-Z87X-UD4H), do you think its worth it?
