  • I have edited your config.plist from the CLOVER you have uploaded.
  • Make the changes I suggest, save that config.plist in that CLOVER and try to boot again
  • Take pictures if the boot fails and upload the image to the Forum.

The non-working keyboard and mouse can be fixed by deleting a kext after you reach the desktop following the initial install.
First navigate to the Root Directory of your primary OS X drive then to: /System/Library/Extensions. Now move the AppleHPET.kext to the trash and empty it. Then your keyboard and mouse should work normally on the next reboot.

  • Since OP cannot log in to his upgraded 10.13.3 Desktop because his USB Mouse and keyboard are frozen , you are suggesting him to go back to his original 10.12.6 and purge AppleHPET.kext from /S/L/E and reboot and try the upgrade again?
  • Can he try a Single USER Mode kext removal from CBM screen, after Force reboot from the current Frozen Login screen?
  • While at it , since the SIP is still ENABLED in the config.plist (uploaded earlier), he can disable that too from CBM screen, if he follows the steps:
    • Force reboot from current frozen Login Screen
    • Get to CBM screen
    • Scroll down to Options>System Parameters>
    • Go to System Integrity Protection> and Remove all checks currently seen and place check marks only as shown below to make CsrActiveConfig to 0x67 ( only 5 boxes with √; rest of the boxes are left empty)
      • [√]Allow Unrestricted Kexts
      • [√] Allow Unrestricted FS
      • [ √]Allow Tasks FOR PID
      • [ ]
      • [ ]
      • [√ ] Allow Unrestricted DTrace
      • [√] Allow Unrestricted NVRAM
    • Return to CBM screen
    • Go to Options>Boot Args
      • In Boot Args type in dart=0 -v -s
    • Boot your 10.12.6 System disk
    • Shortly afterwards, you will be given the possibility to enter your own commands at a prompt. Type the commands as shown and ENTER

fsck -fy
mount -uw /
  • Find your mounted Volume by its name ( you had given to your macOS Sierra) and then you can navigate to its System/Library Extensions using the commands
cd /System/Library/Extensions/

  • Remove the AppleHPET.kext you think is the culprit

rm -rf AppleHPET.kext
  • Remove caches.

rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches
  • Clear nvram.

nvram -d boot-args
reboot
  • From CBM once again go to Options> System Parameters>System Integrity Protection > and remove existing check marks and place check marks as in the above steps to make SIP disabled as 0x67.
  • Reboot and see if you can reach the upgraded login screen and use Keyboard and mouse to login.

I'm still parked at the last step 32 hours ago. Attempts have failed and I'm now opening n on the Flash Murray HighSierra I'm tired and I don't have any earlier versions.

Try booting the installer with -f UseKernelCache=No or even in safe mode.
Try -v -x -f UseKernelCache=No.
Try with the DSDT attached to Post #36.

  • Feeling frustrated? Want to bang your head against the wall? Do you want to know why?
    • Go back to your post from the beginning and read how you were presenting your problem to the readers.
    • We have no way to know what hardware is inside your brand name computer, what peripheral devices you have for input, what you have been seeing on your Monitor screen as output.
    • We have to rely on your post for such information to understand the problem. Your initial post is a single line repeating the contents of the Title of the post with absolutely no details in the body of the message! Not even a screen shot to show what you were seeing on your Monitor screen!
  • Your answers were coming in drips and drabs for the first 7 posts to let us know about the system!
    • details about your mouse and keyboard which for unknown reasons were not working during High Sierra 10.13.3 installation.
    • The prior version of macOS ( 10.12.6) from which you were trying to upgrade to 10.13.3.
    • To get a compressed version of CLOVER
  • It is the folks who are trying to help you who should feel what you are showing with those emoticons.
    • The need to get the help is yours.
    • To provide the needed information in detail is your task.
  • Those who are trying to answer are mostly kept in the dark in an information vacuum.
  • The screen shot provided at last on #16 is NOT a Login screen as shown in the Title or the banner post on #1; it is the Country selection screen!
  • Providing details of what is happening on your monitor screen will get you a lot more enthusiastic help than Forum page filled with antics emoticons that might make you feel good. It actually stopped me from suggesting another troubleshoot.
