IONVMeFamily.kext is used only for NVMe devices. The devices you mention are SATA devices.

@RehabMan

No sound, no battery status after Hight Sierra fresh install.
Installation as described in thread https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...book-zbook-using-clover-uefi-hotpatch.232948/
The SSD disk has APFS format and TRIM has been disabled.
Regarding the battery status I've followed the advice in thread https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/readme-common-problems-in-10-13-high-sierra.233582/
And with the sound I tried Alternate/experimental fix (pre-patch_hda.sh): https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...i-hotpatch-10-11.189416/page-498#post-1410398

Off-topic. This is not a troubleshooting thread.
Open a separate thread.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"

Q. Ethernet is not working. How to fix?

Ethernet: What Ethernet chipset do you have? Use DPCIManager->PCIList to find out. Install drivers (kexts) appropriate for your hardware.

Common drivers (Mieze has created some high quality drivers, ported from Linux):

Porting a WiFi driver would be much more work than porting Ethernet.
Mainly because Apple does not document the WiFi driver interfaces...

I'm trying to install High Sierra on my Probook 450 G3 it has dual-GPU Intel HD520 & Radeon, I'm trying to follow your patch guide but it's confusing here's my extracted native ACPI files need a guide to do these patches...

Hi Guru,
I have once had the Brightness control (both slider and keys) worked on my ProBook 4340s.
After I experimentally (stupid me doing meaningless test!!! But I am sure it is the only change I have made) renamed the SSDT-PNLF.aml (patched directory) to something else, it stopped working. And even I renamed the file back to SSDT-PNLF.aml.
Is there somewhere I need to reset in order to get SSDT-PNLF.aml reloaded? Or it is another issue?
Many Thanks!
