Same here , I installed teh update via the app store and it still shows 10.13.2 (17C88)

anyone?

[EDIT]
I just installed the update again using the standalone download, this time after reboot the install partition was shown, after booting from it that update was successful .

@DaveJ1 make sure to boot from the temporary install partition (in Clover)

What do you mean, what is the "temporary install partition" ?

During installation system makes restart. When you are in Clover screen, there is a temporary install partition called like "Boot from Mac OS install XXX".

Yes, i know, but when I was booting from this partition, i found it myself in a MacOS installer. It was only restart option.
That's why I do not understand.

Edit:I was dumb, of course it works.
It was smooth and perfectly fine.
Thanks!

Installed 10.13.2 Supplemental Update (macOS Build 17C205) without problem.

In contrast to previous OS updates under El Capitan, I do not have to fix the "black screen after boot" problem after each minor update. And my DiplayPort is now working. All good. Thank you.

Installed 10.13.2 Supplemental Update (macOS Build 17C205), te the Nvidia web drivers.

I hace two gfx boards, one gtx 750 and one gtx 730. 730 is working ok but 750 is missing video overlay (i can hear the YouTube vídeos, but black/artifact) Window content

Do happen this to any other outthere?

Regards

Updated via the download link in the #1 page.
Another strange update:
  • Started the update with a familiar black screen with white Apple logo and a progress bar.
  • Within few seconds, it reboots and in clover menu, there's a new entry "Install from macOS....." which my clover defaults to (as I have a fully working NVRAM).
  • It boots to black screen and a progress bar with 19 minutes left. A few seconds later, it reboots and this time it boots off my HS partition to a black scree with progress bar with 14 minutes left.
  • After about 10 minutes, I get the login window and once logged in, it asks me to login to iCloud which I skip, and continues to "setting up the Mac ...." but it's not a full setup ...just Enable/Disable Siri tick box and finishes.

It appears that there is a significant performance hit if you're running macOS 10.3.2 aon APFS. Apple used Geekbench to test and issued a statement that there would be no performance issues, but not everyone bought it. Here's a good write up on the issue. https://reverse.put.as/2018/01/07/measuring-osx-meltdown-patches-performance/
The impact of the patches will vary depending on which CPU is used. More recent CPUs should have lower hit due to the fixes being made. The report here is using a 2011 MacBook Pro, which on the scale of things is an old processor. Not saying there won't be impact, and Intel has a lot to answer for here, but try to keep things in perspective. It would be interesting to see comparisons for more recent CPUs 6th-8th Gen Intel processors, which are pretty common in hacks these days.

Installed this update using the following procedure, without any issues:

1) Went to App Store, detected 10.13.2 and installed the update.
2) System rebooted, graphics reverted to native OS X driver, and Nvidia control panel app automatically detected an update was available.
3) Installed the Nvidia update via the control panel app.
4) System re-started using native OS X graphics driver.
5) Went to Nvidia control panel, and selected Web Drivers. Rebooted.
6) System came up fine. Graphics, sound, and sleep all work as expected. I'm using APFS.

There was a very slight degradation in performance. Single core dropped 0.6%. Multi-core performance dropped 0.3%. See attached before and after Geekbench results screen shots.
