boot problems

1-2 OK, I thought it was not booting properly.
3. This is a BIOS/UEFI settings problem. Not having a Z270 board it is not something I can help you with.
Thank you still.

But since my problem emerged just after I edited the config.plist file, I'm sure it's related to that. I didn't have this problem before and I have not changed anything in the BIOS.

Does anyone have an idea?

try booting with the UniBeast USB. Or you could try booting with additional boot-args -v -x and see if that gets you to desktop. If not, the verbose mode may let you see what the problem is.

I have to admit that this is a bit over my head :( Even if I managed any of this, I have no idea what I'm looking for nor how to fix it.

Then you have a lot of research and studying to do.

Clover wiki:
NOTE: If the Timeout integer is set to 0, hold any key when powering on to invoke the bootloader GUI.
If you perform this step does the system shut down normally?

You enabled Clover ACPI Fixes "FixShutdown"

New "friendly names" were introduced in Clover r4282
Clover r4282 and newer can handle both old ("FixShutdown_0004") & new ("FixShutdown") key.

If you have an older version then Clover r4282 update to the latest version or:
Change: config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes/FixShutdown=true
Into: config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes/FixShutdown_0004=true

I identified the problem. It's the Bluetooth USB key that's waking up the system on shutdown. When I remove the key before shutting down the system, the system shuts down normally.

Anyone have an idea on how I can avoid removing the key each time before shutdown?
