Are Vega, OpenCL... working?

hi guys. I found out another application that could make Vega rx crashing.
steam, the game app. when I open it (after putting my id etc) my Vega fans start running at full speed and my hack crash. it becomes unuseful and I have to reset it or to reboot it.
tried both with whatever green and without.
using 10.13 (+ supplemental update)

I also initialy had problem exporting h264 videos from imovie however once I edited my mac definitoin to 19,1 it is working based on this post: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/high-sierra-rx-vega-final-cut-h-264-fix.233067/

I still have issues with chromes and electron related app (visual studio code) crashing with amd vega so I think steam app is probably similar due to vega partial driver issues right now with 10.13. I guess we have to patently wait until the next update hopefully with improved vega support.

the patch is not working anymore in 10.13.1
could you please check it?
 
Just upgraded to 10.13.2 beta 1

The chrome hardware rendering bug appears to be gone. Tested with the 3d view on google maps, it normally crashed and now it's great. OpenGL extension viewer app still fails on 4.2-3. Some games that used to crash where any 3d rendering was on screen before now play great at 4k. Re-installing X-Com 2 to test as that was a major one giving me problems.

The kext in s/l/e is version 1.60.20 19101
 
maybe iMac pro will come with 10.13.2 and so driver will be mature

do you mind trying visual studio code for me as well? I would really appreciate it ! https://code.visualstudio.com/ It's a pretty small download. You can just load the app and open any text/source code file. My current state if i launch VS code it will crash as soon as I open any file. ( i am using a temporary solution where I launch it with a --disable-gpu flag. It's only a temporary solution since if I forget to close out the app and then do a restart..then it will reopen the app without this flag and freeze!)

Looks like it works. Downloaded, cloned a git, opened some code, copied, deleted and edited some stuff around without any issues.

Check if you can open its settings. It crashes for me only when I open settings. Same thing for WhatsApp..
