You should be able to fix this without resorting to a reinstall.
Please paste which SMBIOS (eg iMac17,1 MacPro6,1 iMac14,2) you are using.
Please paste your current boot args - all of them.
Did you enable SSH access while the system was still working?
Does the boot arg nv_disable=1 prevent the reboot (note that it doesn't fix the problem - just stops it rebooting).
My SMBIOS is Imac17,1
Current Boot args: -v npci=0x2000 nvda_drv=1 -lilubeta
Does SSH means Super Speed Harddrive?
I can try to install the web drive again to test nv_disabe=1 works or not. But it seems I tried at the very first time and it didn't work.
Best regards,
Method A should work for you.
SSH is Secure SHell. If you don't know what it is you probably haven't enabled it.
I would wager you didn't boot with SIP enabled before attempting to install the Nvidia WebDriver.
How comfortable are you with performing tasks in the terminal? If you are OK there I can give generic instructions here. Otherwise PM would be better to avoid spamming others, as all the information needed is already in this thread.
Yep - thats ok. Your sig says you have a MacBookPro.It now keep repeating gIOScreenLockState(Those 2 lines) after I added nv_disable=1
Yes I'm using my 2013 MBP to read all the information and learn from youYep - thats ok. Do you have another computer with MacOS or Linux on it?
OK this is a new thread as I deleted driver in Recovery Mode as always. Let me try and I'll reply to you laterYep - thats ok. Your sig says you have a MacBookPro.
Can you SSH to the hackintosh? Do you know its IP? If so SSH to it and follow the steps to remove the Nvidia driver here.
@kgp - I recommend that you add, as the first step of the post install procedure, enable Remote Management and Remote Login in Preferences -> Sharing.
