Thank you again so much for the awesome detailed guide! I have everything working perfectly on my i3 SFF 6300 with the msi gtx 1030 (Sierra 10.12.6). Last question for now, how does updating work? or should I avoid that?

Is the GTX 1050 Ti OC Low Profile 4G the most powerful card that will fit the sff?

Is there anyone with GTX1050 / 750 / GT730 / GTX1030 and i7-3770 (or i5-3470/3570) who could post Final Cut Pro X (BruceX) test results?

I would like to know what could i expect if i move over to SFF instead of Hp 8300 Tower.

If you are now on 10.12.6 the next update will be High Sierra 10.13. I won't be updating to that till much later this year, likely in December or even later. For the smaller 10.12.5 to .6 update it worked perfectly well through the normal MAS update method. Just like on a real Mac. If you don't want to update to High Sierra you can stay with Sierra for as long as it's supported with updates from Apple. That can be for quite a few years. I expect that the High Sierra update will go smoothly though. I want to see how the APFS (new file system) works out before making the transition. It looks like Safari will be greatly improved in H.S. but I mainly use Chrome so that gives me less incentive to be an early adopter.

I updated to macOS High Sierra 10.13 beta without problems. Be sure to update Clover prior to doing macOS updates.

I've read that by the time the public release comes out this Fall that switching to APFS will be mandatory. Did you make that change when you updated ? Will that present any problems ?

No. I installed on HFS+.

Hello,
I bought the following item >next thing is graphic card, do you think will be a suitable option? It is a low profile
Is the ethernet connection going to work without any additional hardware?
The computer has a 60 GB SSD and 1TB HDD. Can I convert them to a fusion drive ?
Many thanks
Yes, you can use the Gigabyte 1030. Just note that it has no DP output if that may be important to you. You'd want DP if you will ever upgrade to a 4K monitor. Ethernet will work. Don't see any reason to make a fusion drive with your current drives. It is possible to do that. Don't think it will make a difference in real world performance. Just keep macOS on the SSD and a few of the main programs you'll be using most of the time. Use the HDD for storage.
