you still need to modify kexts tp have 570/580 support.

I'm looking to buy a RX580, someone tried it with Bruce X ? I'm still looking to buy this one or a GTX1060...

The 12.6 public beta needs no fixes, except R9 xxx name. Sierra 10.12.6 will be released soon and will support more or less OOB all RX 4xx-5xx series cards.

High Sierra Public Beta ( next update) will most likely have Audio support over HDMI as its already working in the latest Dev beta. Also, the AMD1000kext has the Vega IDs included now.

If choosing between RX and 1060, it may be better to wait a few weeks for Vega cards if budget allows and upgrade to High Sierra public beta.

@Gigamaxx

I purchased this HP implemented RX580 4gb. Can this card be enabled using your method.

@funky3

Can you use RX580 to boot directly ?

Do you use IGPU and then Hot swap to RX580 ?

I'm in MacOS Sierra 10.12.3

My main aim is to use this Hackintosh for FCPX.

You will need to use igpu as primary, set those in Bios. The kext mod will work but you may also be able to just use clover ATI fake ID 0x67EF1002. Try the fake ID first if it doesn't work use the kext mod method.

As of Sierra Public beta 10.12.6 all you need is IGPU enabled so the future is bright for RX cards in macOS.

For FCPX Pro once you have the card working you can deactivate partially the igpu Skylake graphics to prevent crashes. It's done by editing the info.plist the same way as with RX support.

I can see my graphics card in the System Report & could do Hot swap.
But FCPX crashes always, How to disable "iGPU partially". Could you please let me know.

Go to Systems/Library/Extensions and scroll down to AppleIntelSKLGraphicsKext. Right click and select "show package contents" drag info.plist to desktop. Create a folder and save a copy of original, then drag another copy to desktop. Right click on the info.plist and select open with " other" scroll down to "Text Edit" and open. Scroll down the plist until you see the graphics ID 0x??????????, search for ID that matches yours, 0x19128086?. Change the ID or remove it then save and close info.plist. Drag info.plist back to kext folder and make sure it's placed correctly. You should get "Authenticate and replace" prompts. If you only get authenticate hit cancel it's not in the right place. After replacing to the folder make sure to run Kext Wizzard before reboot.

******Kext Wizzard before reboot.

Find to your Intel device ID first check clover boot menu in Graphics Settings, or use DCPIManager app.

This is a method to remove the accelerators for the Skylake graphics so they don't crash FCPX apps, it seems to work for most. If it doesn't work you can replace the info.plist by following the directions again but use the copied file from earlier, and again make sure to run Kext wizzard before reboot.
