Thanks for sharing that. I've placed a note in Step 3 so that readers will give: Boot Order → UEFI Boot Sources → USB Hard Drive a quick check to make sure that it is enabled in BIOS. I wanted this build to be easy and affordable for anyone, anywhere in the world even if they have no previous experience. There are a lot of these machines sitting in warehouses just waiting for a new owner to install macOS and start using it. I'm very happy with the results.

Quick question: I noticed in the guide there was an update that stated that some NVIDIA cards might block normal sound options. However, I have a Sabrent USB doohickey that I used with a different computer previously and I can't seem to get it to work. Surely that's not what that's referring to?

Any ideas on how I could try and get it to recognize the adapter?

Did you do the usb changes in Step 8, which are now mandatory? It's supposed to help with USB problems?

The Sabrent USB audio adaptor should be plug-n-play. You shouldn't have to do anything.

Make sure the USB port is working.

I'm having an issue with my USB ports dying every few minutes. My Sabrent USB audio adapter and IO Gear Bluetooth 4.0 adapter both go undetected, so I manually have to unplug and replug the bluetooth adapter to get my magic mouse and wireless keyboard to get recognized. I heard something about USB changes in El Capitan and Sierra that may cause USB issues, since this does not happen on my Yosemite ssd.

Can you help point me in the right direction please?

So, I never had any problems with the USB audio, but I do have an IO Gear BT like you. The BT I was having problems with. I pulled the BT to the front USB ports, and it seems to be working well now?

There's 2 usb(s) in the back that are black. Those are usb 2.0? And then there's 4 blue usb(s). Those are usb 3.0, but only function at 2.0 speeds? How about the front usb(s)?

I had everything working, but I tried to boot into Sierra today and at the Apple loading screen it gets to about 75% then the computer shuts itself down. Tried this about four times with the same result. Booting into Win 10 on a separate hard drive works fine. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

Professionals, correct my if I´m wrong, but usually booting with the -v startup option in Clover (for Verbose mode) to see where it dies :)

Yes, that is important. secretmak should hit the spacebar at the Clover screen and choose verbose booting and don't reboot on panic. The latter is further down the list. Try and boot and take a picture of where it stops, the last line where it panics.

I need help. I installed yesterday new GTX 1050Ti card, than I did new clean Sierra install. Everything went smooth (thanks again trs96) I have HDMI sound working and even after second reboot I had analog sound working which I lost after another reboot and is not showing any more, so first question is what can be a reason. Second Airplay mirroring still doesn't work. When I select that option in sys pref, on menu bar icons move to left like making space for airplay icon but than they move back. I have option to send sound to ATV's (3rd and 4th gen) but not screen. I included screen shot with empty space between icons on menu bar while selecting sound prefs. And finally, once every few reboots after clover boot selection instead of Apple logo big circle with backslash in it (prohibited sign) shows up and after powering off computer next boot go smoothly. What is causing that? Thanks in advance.
