I said wwan port but connects it to wlan port.

This is that I have active whitelist?

The error message you attached clearly shows WWAN. Therefore you plugged the WiFi into the wrong port.
Refer to the maintenance/service guide for your laptop (you can download from HP.com).

The USB installer was retrieved from an old Hackintosh, rather than a fresh download. Should've known it would be out of date. Anyway, upgrade to 10.11.6 went without a hitch, so no problem.

As far as Voodoo, for some reason it sounds better than AppleHDA on this particular laptop. I know that's not usually the case, but it sounds closer to Windows and Linux quality. I'll deal with the messed up volume control.

As complex as the guide is, it is entirely possible that I missed a step. But everything else besides the brightness and volume control is working, and I don't want to go back to square one at this point and repeat several hours of work.

Thanks again for the great guide.

Regarding brightness, read post #1, "Problem Reporting".

Note: The 'master' branch now has all changes from the 'beta' branch.

Hello Mr Rehabman
2 months ago I've bought a HP probook 430 G2 , few days later , following your guide , I've installed El Capitan and it worked very well .
2 weeks ago it started to reboot randomly , more and more often , I’ve took off the atheros wifi card , changed the hard drive , removed and changed ram , re-install etc …
I’ve uploaded some files , tell me if this is what you need .
I’ve always fixed issues with my previous Hackintosh with your guides but this time I’m stuck …
Thanks for your help

I really don’t know what to do …

You did not follow the guide.
Read post #1, and follow as written.
Make sure you're using current github content.

Is it possible installing to elitebook 2170p only using EFI partition?

Is it possible installing to elitebook 2170p only using EFI partition?

No.
macOS or OS X has to be installed somewhere on an HFS+J partition.
The EFI partition is not large enough and is not HFS+J (EFI is FAT32).

Sorry i was unclear, i meant can i get all hardware working without messing with the macos system? like put patches, kexts, etc in efi only. not in s/l/e. etc.

No.
The correct way is to install kexts on the system volume.
You can read about it in post #2 of the main laptop Clover guide if you're curious as to why.
