Sound randomly stops working

Use kernel flag -f or Clover option (hit spacebar). Note that recent Clover versions have removed it, so you need -f.

Still no sound...
My friend @ben9923 told me to boot with safe mode, rebuild cache from there and then boot normally and it fixed the problem, but then I turned my laptop off and on again the next day there was no sound again
(sorry for the double message, I forgot I already replied)

It is likely a problem with AppleALC. Use patched AppleHDA instead.

Sorry for the very late response, hadn't had the time to mess around with it in the last couple of weeks.
Iv'e tried a patched AppleHDA from Mirone's AppleHDA Patcher, and the same thing happened again: the sound was working until I restarted my laptop.

Try to determine the conditions under which audio working/not working.
Cold boot?
Restart from Windows?
After EC reset?

Doesn't work after both boot from Windows and cold boot.
I can't do an EC reset because I cant disconnect the battery from my laptop

You did not provide any information on the conditions under which it does work...
All laptops have batteries that can be disconnected. Refer to your service guide... (usually just a simple plug needs to be unplugged after exposing the connection to the motherboard).

Works when I rebuild cache from safe mode but stops after one restart.
I'll try to unplug my battery tomorrow

Works when I rebuild cache from safe mode but stops after one restart.

Make sure you rebuild cache correctly. Safe mode is not involved...
See FAQ for details.
You must:
- boot without caches
- rebuild cache with Terminal
- reboot

I just did an EC reset and there's no sound after that either.
Rebuilding cache after booting without caches fixes the problem too but only for one boot.
