Hi xoma, according to user superic, his RX 480 works with Final Cut Pro version 10.2.3. Could you try that version and tell everyone if it works for you? Thanks.
Hi I did try Final Cut Pro 10.2.X (not sure which one exatcly) and had the same crashes and problems

I've since sent my Rx480s back and switched them out for a R9 280x. It has comparatively less problems (but still some: again FCPX is the major problem) and still reaches a Geekbench Score of 111.000 in OpenCL

The version that I use is FCPX 12.2.3, and so far there isn't any problem showing up.

I have an i7 6700t, msi h110m gaming, and a gtx780. should i ditch the 780 and just get this running on internal graphics? Or is the 780 still a easy card to get going.

My main PC which I use is basically destined to windows it seems, I got all of these 3 parts for great deal otherwise i probably wouldve just built another 6700t. I have a x99 msi titanium + i7 6800k with a gtx1070 which im hoping does get drivers eventually because i didnt want to run an amd rx480 card on this rig even though ive been offered a rx480+200$ for my 1070 strix.

So yeah will the gtx780 work in this h110m build? or stick to internal gfx ?

I can do all of the directions in Post #1 except the RX 480’s PCI ID to AMDRadeonX4100.kext. If I do that,
it crashes my computer. If I replace that kext with a unmodified one, then the computer boots. No acceleration of course.

For audio fix, I simply install drivers in multibeast and set inject audio to 1 in clover configurator.
HI, could not get audio this way. I installed alc1150 drivers in multbeast in clover injet audio was on one, am I missing something ?

Here is what I did:
1. Run multibeast
2. install the Audio-ALC1150 and also the Optional 3 Port (5.1) Audio.
3. Restart.

Then it all works. I think the setting is different for different motherboard, I am using a gigabyte Z170XP-SLI. The setting might be different for you.

Hope it helps.

I want a RX 480 into my Hackintosh very bad, but what prevents me is the fact it scores 112k on OpenCL where is my HD 7970 scores 122k, man I'm officially confused

Not sure what your configuration is or why you are getting only 112k but I routinely get 140k. I've seen scores as high as 142k. Having said that, not sure what a 25% increase in a benchmark score means in the real world, I'm sure it depends on your use case.

  • Open Clover Configurator > Graphics and set Inject EDID = On, FB Name = Dayman, ig-platform-id = 0x1912, Load VBios = Off, Patch Bios = On, Inject Intel = Off, Inject ATI = On. In Acpi, set "Fix Display" On and in Devices, set Fake ID > ATI to 0x67DF1002. In Boot, set darkwake=8, timeout to 2 and enter the name of your macOS boot disk in "Default Boot Volume".
  • (thanks to user Mork_vom_Ork) Go to Kernel and Kext Patches -> ForceKextsToLoad, add "\System\Library\Extensions\AMDRadeonX4100.kext" and "\System\Library\Extensions\AMD9500Controller.kext".
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but,
I followed all of these directions in Clover Configurator but in GRAPHICS when I click on the "Patch VBios" it works fine and my Sapphire RX 480 8GB loads fine but Clover is not longer an option when I boot up and I have to use the USB to do so.
When I unclick the "Patch VBios" then the drivers for the 480 don't load (Black Screen) but I do have the Clover Boot Options at bootup.
Anyone know what that is and how it can be fixed?
