After several attempts over the last couple of weeks, I finally have my Toshiba L505 laptop running Snow Leopard.
Right now, it is running 10.6.3. I have not yet done the multi-beast or 10.6.8 update.
I have keyboard, trackpad (with working preference pane), sound and video. I can plug in a USB mouse and keyboard, but it will not see a thumb drive. And, of course, the infamous 1024x768 stretched across my 15" screen.
As soon as I "multi-beast" it, I will lose my sound, my video and my trackpad preference screen.
I have done over a dozen fresh installs and with each one, I have run through a plethora of multi-beast checkmark combos.
I cannot get my sound, video or trackpad preference screen back and I never did see a thumb drive pop up.
I tried Sierra and along with everything else, I lost all keyboard and trackpad functions to boot.
Basically, if I do not multi-beast my Toshiba, I am in decent shape.
Next stop is Lion.
